Is Batman Unbeatable with 10 years of prep?
"I've had ten years to build this ultimate nullifyier, come at me Galactus! ...F*CK IT SHORTED OUT!"
That's how I think Batman would fare against Galactus in that scenario.
Nah, doesn't even need it. Doesn't he have anti-abstract spray hidden away somewhere??@Gambit1024 said:

Dude.. Please... I believe you mean the BAT - Ultimate Nullifire.
I hate you. I hate all of you that worship Batman's prep time like it's some infallible process.
JL #2 when it comes out. Read it.

Well it depends: Are we talking Batman or Adam West Batman? Cause if we're talking Adam West Batman, he automatically dominates due to his vast array of repellent sprays. I for one would follow him into battle against any foe. THE DUDE BEAT A RUBBER SHARK TO DEATH!
@Deadcool: Ya know, as much as I think Galactus vs. Batman is one of the worst fights ever thought up of, that image is still pretty damn cool.
If the other person doesn't have any idea he's coming then i think he would be pretty much unbeatable. I don't see him defeating any analogies for god, like The Presence or TOAA, but i think he'd have a good shot with just about everything else within reason.
In short the answer would be no sadly. Since say Doom or Luthor with 20 years prep would still be able to beat Bats with 10.

@Timandm: The Battlefier
I LIKE IT!
what if he's up against a time traveler who can simply go back in time to a point before he started preparing, and just kill him then?
Saying doom and Luther with twenty years prep would beat bat with ten is obvious since they have double the time and I consider them on par intellectually with the bat but with ten years prep he could do a lot look what happened when someone stole his plan for dealing with the Jla In tower of babel sorry for the horrible grammar but typing on an iPad isn't ideal for most forums
@The Stegman: Batman beat time last year, take that for what you will.
I think he would, with a few days he does ridiculous things, in 10 years, he could probably wipe out a small universe no prob.
He wouldn't need ten years.
Some things he can't beat, obviously. It's just stupid to suggest he could. But anything that he could, he'd need a maximum of around half-a-year.
He beat the Omega Sanction with about a day's worth of prep.

No, because prep entails preparing for something not preparing for not being beaten by anything. Which could be anything.
Unless your asking could a writer have Batman do anything with ten years prep, well sure, but they can do that with any fictional character including... Pixie.

Hahahahahahaah
@amazinglover: Yes i know its a fairly obvious point, but i just wanted to make it to show how Batman with 10 years prep isn't unbeatable. I agree that with prep he's a serious threat to everyone, and Tower of Babel is a good point. However that same issue shows how even with prep he's not unbeatable, since the JLA still beat his traps.

When Justice league Doom and The Dark Knight returns come out then watch it.

bravo
I guess it depends on the enemy. I would think that having 10 years to get ready, he could make something up to destroy a lot of things.
10 years? I think there's a cap on how much prep really helps. At some point—a year probably (e.g., to retrain after Knightfall took less than a year, to retrain after 52 took an off-panel year)—plot becomes a far more important factor than prep. At that point prep simply weighs down the story no matter what story you're telling.
And ultimately the needs of the story outweigh anything else anyway. Bottom line, Batman doesn't have ten years to focus on just one problem, so asking "what if he took ten years" is a meaningless hypothetical. With that amount of time spent focusing on one singular problem, you could make an argument that any DC hero could beat anyone else, including Batman.

@The Stegman: He fought two time travelers. one was in the justice league the other in brave and the other brave and the bold. Anyone have record of his experiance in comic books? Does Batman still remember all retcons? Anyway in the Justice League he put time traveler in a constant time loop.

It's written by Geoff Johns, who could not hate Batman any more obviously. Doesn't count.
No, Batman has been preping to fighting crime every day for longer than 10 years and he's still not eradicated it.

I absolutely hate Johns. He replaces Wally with Barry then all but deletes Wally from existence. And then He makes Hal "THE" GL. His personal preferences influence his work more than a little.

Nuff said right there.
