Iron Man vs Captain America : The Winter Soldier

I enjoyed Iron Man a little more.

I've never seen that Ironman poster before, badass.

Winter Soldier has more flaws but also takes more risks. Iron Man while a damn fine movie has a memorable start, a memorable finish and a memorable performance to make it stand out but the rest of the film is mostly standard and formulaic. I'd rather see more Winter Soldiers in the future.

Also it gains points for not having Gwyneth Paltrow in it.

I know, its a german official one.

I think the Cap poster is the best I've seen, too.

I know Iron Man started it all, but I felt like Cap 2 was Marvel's most balanced out and complete movie, and it didn't fall too far into Marvel's comedic saturation.

Cap's movie was as close too the Dark Knight as Marvel has ever gotten and maybe better. I also Give The movie props for having a better cast, equal writing, and a harder character too pull off (Cap Is a harder character then Tony)

I think Iron Man was a little bit more "serious" but the villain gives the edge to TWS.

But I liked Iron Man more. maybe because It came out first.

Iron Man kept me entertained the entire time, Winter Soldier kinda had me bored during the middle (mostly during Cap and Widow's little road trip).

Iron Man is still the first and best MCU film.

These are my two favorite Marvel movies. Cap 2 edges out IM for me.

I hope that Civil War can top these two.

But I think it´s going to be kind of messy . Idk.

It could, it has the potential, it´s going to be a kind of free adaptation, so ok for me. (Because Civil War wasn´t that great for me)

For me IM has more of a re-watch value that CA WS just doesn't provide.

I actually didn´t like it the first time I saw it on cinema, but when it came out to dvd I liked it significantly more.

And I just seen TWS once. It´s time for a rewatch.

Still, Iron man 3 ruins all of them for me, and cap 2 was phenomenal.....

That doesn´t make much sense , but it doesn´t matter if you liked Cap 2 more.

The thing I don´t get is what do Iron Man 3 has to do here?

I know I am just being dumb and I feel like complaining about Iron man 3, captain american 2 is better than iron man 1 not because of iron man 3.

Neither of these movies but have to give the win to iron Man. I know alot of people liked the Winter Soldier. But without plot the movie was just crammed full of special effects and explosions. nothing really happened. Captain America also beat Crossbones and 50 people in a lift. Nope crossbones needs to kick his ass in a movie somewhere down the line.

I'm giving the edge to Winter Soldier. It's my favorite CBM of all time.

I have to say Iron Man.Let alone being a prior to Cap2 movie,it was pretty nice.Cap 2 was WAY to serious by me,(i think it only had 2-3 jokes),but i also disliked the fact that the villain organization was the same(HYDRA),like,couldn't they introduce something new?It didn't get far away from The first Cap,also,the villain was someone that was equal to cap,as in the first movie.It wasn't so prototype or funny,so,my edge goes to Tony.

Because of the impact it had on AoS and while watching agent carter , I can't help but just keep thinking how Peggy forms an organization that gets infiltrated and eventually close to destroyed)

Iron Man.

Taking nothing away from The Winter Soldier, but I still feel Iron Man is MARVEL Studios finest moment.

Both are good, but I personally like Iron Man more

@guru_crack: Have to respectively disagree. Nothing really happened? SHIELD was disbanded, which bled over to the show. Which, in turn will bleed into Civil War (if the rumors about Bucky and Howard are true.

The world is now with out their peace keeping force and will probably cause distrust for the Avengers themselves.

@mandog: Might sound abit odd but Winter Soldier to me wasn't enjoyable but I liked the majority of the other like Iron Man 1 - 3, Incredible Hulk, Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger & Thor.

I could never bring myself to care about Iron Man.

WS is superior.

I prefer Iron Man myself.

Iron Man is underwhelming, completely overrated. The Winter Soldier stomps it in action, story, entertainment, writing and characters. IM has a great beginning, a good end, and a great performance from Robert Downey Jr. but it is by far one of the most formulaic movies I've seen. Probably because they had no script.

The Winter Soldier had action, political intrigue, humour and stern, commentary on the state of security, development for the main character and the villain (who, by the way, surpasses Iron Man's villain by far). Iron Man is a generic film.

I'd like to clarify that IM is not a bad movie. But it's overrated.

WS is overrated too

Both phenomenal movies. I just watch Iron Man, and can say that the film hold up, I need to rewatch Winter Soldier.

Liked them both, but still think IM is Marvel's best movie. I do wonder, is Iron Man a killer in the comics? (I don't read IM comics) because in the first IM film he had no problem gunning down those terrorist guys.
