So my dad just told me that the original avengers could beat the justice league

Thats your dads opinion. When debating which fictional characters could beat other fictional characters, no one is really right.

The Original Avengers CAN beat the original Justice League.

I mean,if it's current Justice League,then I would disagree.

If Goldan Age Superman is on the "original" Justice League, which i am 100 percent certain of, i am sure theyd win.

I dunno, I think an argument can be made even against the modern JL. Classic Thor and Hulk had some crazy feats back in the day.

That's not the original Avengers team.

That's not the original team. I think you got the first and second rosters mixed up. The original team was Iron Man, Wasp, Hank Pym, Thor and Hulk. Cap became a member in the forth issue, IIRC. The second roster had Hawkeye, among others.

I half expected that this was about a kid who's dad wouldn't let him read comics because the father thought it would make him a loser.

There was no GA Justice League. They didn't come to be until the Silver Age. The Justice Society did exist in the Golden Age tho.

I would say Captain America is an original Avenger, he joined 4 issues. The handbooks list him as a original member too if I am not mistaken.

They don't list him as a founding member though which makes sense. I would say there is a difference only between the original Avenger members and founding members.

My Dad thinks Flash is one of the weakest comic characters and can just run but that doesnt make him ignorant
