If you could work for a comic book publisher, which publisher would it be?
Image, I like the creative freedom.
Me too bro'. Independant comic publishers generally tend to have a lot of creative freedom.

DC!! I dont care if Didio makes me write ambush bug...I'd still die a happy man to write anything for DC.Besides I could improve whatever C lister they allow me to write.Even Ambush bug.Seriously.
All of them. If I had to pick one right now, Valiant. I'm hoping their success continues, and being apart of the foundation of a big comic company would be awesome.
DC! It would be a dream come true! I wouldn't care if all I got to write was a Condiment King mini-series, it would still be DC.
DC. They have the Green Lantern. While not by any stretch my favorite hero, there are some sci-fi stories I have in my head that would perfectly fit a Green Lantern if it were to take place in the DCU (except for Guy, sorry Guy. Yer my second favorite Lantern too lol.).
But Image because they let you write your story, and I wouldn't need to worry about my story being cut short because of some dramatic, continuity-spanning event.

Dude if they make you write a Condiment King miniseries, you're probably an amazing writer lol
@batmannflash: Or I won some kind of contest in which they promised they'd let the winner write a book and consider anything else too important for me lol.
Image, I like the creative freedom.
this should be the only answer . indie companies treat their talent better than the big two
I would love working for DC so I could try to change all the ridiculous New 52 costumes back to normal.
Marvel or Image.
Marvel because they are the first publisher I've ever read, and I love their characters.
Image is the second because I was a big fan of most of their books. Vanguard, Supreme, Union and others. Also most of Liefield's characters had no backstory. So I can basically do what Valiant is doing. I could make Youngblood a force to be reckoned with.
Dark Horse, for the same reason many of you are selecting Image. Creative freedom is important.
Maybe Marvel, but only if they'd let me create a new on-going Moon Knight run.
Valiant. Thanks for not putting a choice for that :p
If I were to rank it:
1. Valiant
2. Image
3. Marvel
4. Vertigo (if allowed to say this)
5. Dark Horse
6. DC (meh)
No Dynamite. Ive seen their website and the female characters are WAY over sexualized. Their "art" seems akin to softcore porn mostly. Everytime I give them a look this is the case. No thanks, I'd rather not be a part of that.
And I don't read or know much about the others.
Creator owned stuff, to keep the rights for my characters and stories.
This. I have heard literally no hate for any of the companies like Image.
Working with the big two every writing decision you make will be blasted on here.
Marvel has no people of color working in editorial at the moment and DC has only one. So I probably wouldn't get hired by either. I'm gonna say Image cause they seem fair and care about creators.
