if Robocop was a hero...Which world he belongs? DC or Marvel?

RoboCop is not a hero, I mean, is just a movie made in 80's...But I think, he has a hero's status. I remember him in 90's...He was very famous in my country...I had t-shirts, games and toys from Robocop and I watched the series on the television and this kind of things...

But, if RoboCop was a comic made in 60's....Which world do you think he belongs?

A here, a photo that haters gonna hate

@ApenasJoao: He has his comic series, published by Dark Horse. He was created by Frank Miller. He even crossed over with Terminator.

Assuming I had to pick 1 I'd say DC because he could then be the sole hero of Detroit.

If I am right...Frank Miller wrote the RoboCop 2 with Irvin Kershner as director. The comics series, the animation and the serie television came after the movie...But I'm not sure.

I think DC as well...DC usually is more violent than Marvel...And RoboCop (maybe because is was made in 80's) is extremely violent.

@ApenasJoao:DC more violent I can't agree with that thought. Not when you count MAX comics by marvel which is quite comparable to the worst DC stuff (like Vertigo and Wildstorm)

I'd have to say DC.

Look like that generally Marvel has more fun characters and DC more dark atmosphere...But, that MAX is very interesting.

I'd say DC because Marvel's tech heroes are very advanced and slender looking - eg: IronMan and everyone else with armor alike

DC

Well DC already has someone like Robocop, his name is Cyborg and he is a founding member of the Justice League :)

I don't know about Marvel or DC but I want to see Robocop and Savage Dragon team up.

Also just watched the movie the other day and I forgot how gloriously bad it was, and I mean that in a good way.

Oh almost forgot, what's with the thread title.. what do you mean if robocop was a hero?

@Nova`Prime`: Of course he is a hero...But I mean, not a Hero like Superman or Iron Man...Hero in the comics...He is a hero from a movie...Like Hancock...

In my mind he would fit in the DC world better than Marvel.

He seems a little redundant compared to what the DC and Marvel worlds have to offer but if I had to pick one I'd say DC

I think Robocop works better in DC (and I know DC already has Cyborg).

I can easily imagine him clashing with the other heroes because of Directive 3 "Uphold the Law".

I'd go with DC.
