Just a random thought bobbin' around my head. Tarantino is one of my favorite all time filmmakers. For the sake of conversation, let's pretend he has Carte Blanche over his own project.

If Tarantino were to direct a CBM...

  1. Which would he most likely direct?
  2. Which one would you want him to direct?
  3. Do you even want to see him attempt one?

I think The Punisher would be an obvious choice for the first one, but I'm interested to hear some other thoughts.

He could do a great Suicide Squad movie if David Ayer wasn't already doing one.

I don't think it would be something with powered characters, but something campy and violent.

He'd never do a film within the current 'Connected Universe' structure, it restricts control and creativity. He'd also probably never do a well known property, because again, there are too many restrictions that come from expectations and therefore pressure from companies. Plus, I don't think he's capable of doing a film that isn't an 18.

If he were to adapt a comic, it would probably have to be a lesser known or indie comic.

Tarantino directing Power Man and Iron Fist set in the 1970s would be funny.

It'd definitely be a street leveler who doesn't mind to kill.

@peterparkerjr:

Tarantino actually planned to make a Modesty Blaise movie for ages, he even put a reference in Pulp Fiction

No Caption Provided

Unfortunately this didn't end up going anywhere and IIRC he has mentioned that he won't make movies based on licenses now.

He made do with just putting his name to a cheap straight to DVD movie and seems to have called it a day :(
