If Cyclops killed Wolverine

I'd be ambivalent. On the one hand, Wolverine is now in an ideal situation for such a scenario to occur and it MEAN something.

On the other hand, doing so would create an even bigger Schism between Cyclops' side and Wolverines.

I'd be pretty happy with it. I'm tired of Wolverine showing up in absolutely everything. Especially in non X-men based comics. He's the definition of a Gary Sue, but he makes money for Marvel so I can see why they do it.

On a serious note, I'd probably be a bit ticked off since he is one of my favorite characters and 10 years is a long time, but eventually I would adjust. And no, I wouldn't hate Cykes. He's my favorite character, and just because he kills another character I like isn't going to make me hate him.

He doesn't have any right, in my opinion. He has done enough damage as it is.

It would depend on the circumstances, but in general I'd say yes, I'm not a huge Cyclops fan anyway.

I chose "wouldn't care" because it wouldn't happen unless the writer is that horrible and doesn't respect the underlying tone that despite the fact both men hate each other, they have the utmost respect for one another - almost like …… BROTHERS.

Yeup. Character death has been overused in superhero comics and needs a moratorium for a time. Even if they guaranteed it wouldn't be reversed for at least a decade, it would feel like "so you're saying it's not forever?" Like, even that would just underscore how meaningless it is.

Wouldn't someone who has already caused damage be the person most likely to cause more damage? At least it would keep the story consistent with the character.

Picked wouldn't care because it would be a stupid writer anyway. Unless it was really dramatic and had a sacrifice feel to it but still cyclops is not the one to do it. Not anytime soon

@thecomicpro: Ehh it's his job to take the piss out of stuff in the Comic industry, it's not like Wolverine is the only one who gets this kind of treatment. To some degree anyways the point was the over saturation of Wolverine in terms of putting him on multiple teams at once. Additionally It doesn't help that the writer doesn't have the best history with Marvel(they didn't find his christmas card that said " thanks for continuing to not sue us" as funny as other publishers did). While he is making fun of Wolverine and A vs X, he still cares greatly for story. He does the same to his favorite characters and writers.
