You can start by not making threads like this.

Just put a good amount of thought into a subject before making a thread. Is it interesting? Is it fair? Is it something that can generate a good discussion? If the answer to any of those is no, then don't make it.

1. Nobody probably remembered it and those that did would forget in a couple of days

2. This thread reminded people of whatever thread you made

3. People will probably be more critical of your thread making after having opened this thread.

Follow K's advice and just put more thought into it.
