How To Become A Moderator

I think you have to do a lot of wiki editing and stuff...like an obscene amount or something, and I think the mods have to actually ask you if you want to become one, and from what I've heard they don't need more mods right now.

If you have to ask, you'll never become one.

How to become a Moderator for Dummies:

• Possibility #1: Sell your soul to Aztek the Lost (that always works if you want something...especially a hamburger!)

• Possibility #2: Hire Al Pacino as a hit-man ("Say Hello to my little friend, G-man!")

• Possibility #3: Travel back in time to the old west of San Fransisco and write a letter to be delivered to Red L.A.M.P. the same day you left, instructing him to make _____ [insert username here] a moderator

• Possibility #4: uh...Hack the system! (ever wonder what really happened when Comicvine was down? MAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)

• Possibility #6:  Steal G-man's draft for the Off My Mind Segment and don't give it back until he agrees to make you a moderator

• Possibility #7:  Hard work and dedication to the site....but what fun is that?

• Possibility #8:  When creating an account, put your name as "inferiorego_is_the_Greatest" and write on a certain staff person's wall
  

• Possibility #9: Agree to introduce Babs to Namor

I am not sure wiki editing is that important, I think it involves a lot of dedication to the site and I think they come to you and not vice versa.  I think they probably already have a short list of who they would want to become a mod (Dark Huntress?) anyway based on past performances and contributions.  I think the trick here is to contribute a lot though.  I don't think at the moment they would consider you for a mod if you were never community star.

Doesnt that have as much to do though with the mods being on CV before time began.  So they are the oldest and most trusted members?

Have convos with everyone in the community (staff included), be active, help new users understand the rules, call mods when something against the rules go down, make a lot of suggestions that help the community and site. That's how I became a game moderator and I think its the same here.
