Depends who's using the magic. Classic Strange and Fate, Are darn near unbeatable constantly taking on cosmic and universal threats. Although both seemed to be getting a boost again of late. But I havnt kept up with Fate recently.
Depends the type of magic but most magic, writter make it too powerful or almost without limits in terms what they can do with it.
