How Smart Is Donatello (TMNT)?

Smart's Wise would you say Donatello from the Ninja turtles is anywhere near the level of someone like Ironman...The Atom...Mr. Fantastic? (At least enough to have a full geeky conversation with him.)

Donatello is really really smart, he can build something amazing out of nothing and can understand and work with advanced alien being that can travel between dimensions.

80's Cartoon Donatello was pulling some serious Silver Age Batman nonsense on a consistent basis.

My question is whether 80's Donatello is smarter than 80's Krang.

I'd say modern/Normal day Donatello (Mirage, 2003 Series, IDW) would be around Ironman levels as far as base smarts go but then you get into different forms like genetics, Weapons, etc

He's a jack of all trades that could hang with the best of them in a techno babble coversation

I’d definitely put Donatello at Tony Stark or Ray Palmer level

He instantly understands and uses/repairs/improves interdimensional tech, like Dimension X’s and the Ghost Buster’s. He engineered his staff to damage phasing characters, and engineered Tech to mimic the Street Phantom’s to allow himself to phase through walls as well.

The only thing that limits him from competing with Stark or Reed, is his lack of resources. He has next to nothing to work with most of the time.

Apparently Raph thinks Donnie has an IQ of 637. Not sure what to think of that, but take that as you will.
