So I created this thread because I am curious how much money my fellow viners spend on comics each month.

I found this great comic shop and ever since the money I spend on my monthly dose of comics skyrocketed. Just today I spent a good 40 dollars there.

They have great collections like Final Crisis which I think I am going to buy from them ( another 40 dollars gone) so I think I spend a good 70 dollars a month now on comics how much do you spend?

You do not have to be exact.

I get a lot less comics than most people on this site (only 6 titles- one of the great things about having a strange hatred towards any book that isn't DC) and I buy my comics digitally, meaning they are always $1 cheaper. With that said, I only pay $16-20 a month (I buy more than the normal amount per month because I'm buying old New 52 issues to try to catch up to the current month).

@wolverine08:

I am currently collecting uncanny avengers it is really hard to find issues like 2,3 or 4 because it is already out of print. I found number 1 in mint condition and I got it for 9 bucks.

Around 20 dollars a month, for me.

I'm thinking of dropping one that has a pretty frequent print schedule, though.

About 40 bucks a month after tax. I have 10 comics on my pull list. Some months its more if i pick up a trade or two.

I try to keep it under 30 dollars a month. My current pull list comes up to about 26.

Over $40 a month

Started under $20, then around $40, now over $60. A bunch of that is supplies right now, since I'm finally boarding and bagging my whole collection. Should normalize to around $30 over time (I hope)

@wolverine08: I was thinking about getting some Marvel Now X-Men books, but I don't want to go through all of AVX and before to understand what's going on. Another problem is that on my digital comic app, Comixology, all Marvel Now comics are $4 while most DC comics are just $2. There was a time when All New X-Men #1 was free, so I got it and really liked it. Other than that (and one time when issue #1 of A+X was free and I got it) all my comics are DC.

60 bucks.

Over $60 usually...

I spend around $70 a month on new comics and probably close to $20 more on average for Comixology sales.

Around 100$ a month sometimes more. Buy a lot of digital.

Currently around $100 a month. I justify it by saying I used to spend the same amount on cigarettes when I smoked. Comics are much healthier.

@longbowhunter:

Good decision man. Enjoying the art of comics is way better than killing your lungs smoking.

This but my mom is just happy I have something to do lol

#25 Posted by jeanespinosa21 (217 posts) - - Show Bio

Right around 60$ a month. I'm fine with that number, my part time pays well and since i only have to spend money on gas and going out i can have a good budget for comics.

Oh man. I just started reading comics a month ago and my Amazon cart had $150 worth of TPBs in the first week. >.<

Thankfully I'm a pretty slow reader, so it looks like 100-150 will be the average for me per month or every other month.
