I ask this question because at times I feel like I fly through a single issue and am over with it in just a few minutes. I often go back and read them again immediately because I always have the feeling I missed something.

How long does it take you guys & gals?

Depends on the comic. Probably around 10 minutes.

First run usually takes me 5 - 7 minutes, but often times I'll look through it 3 more times to admire the art & see if I missed any hints/easter eggs.

I take my time to understand what's going on and to look at the art work and symbols. So like a week since i'm usually busy.

Like people have said, usually 10 - 15 minutes. Though it normally lasts longer with comics like Lazarus where the letters section is full of interesting stuff. Really makes me feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

I usually take closer to 15 minutes if it's a good comic. I like to read over every page many times to fully appreciate the plot, art, and occurrences. Sometimes if I'm Busy I'll only read through once, and take around 5 minutes.

It took me 90 minutes to read Sandman: Overture. I drooled like an idiot at the art for an hour before I could muster the concentration to read the words.

Depends. If it's good, I savour it, enjoying every last detail (20-30 min, maybe more). If it's meh, I skim it (10 min).

About ten minutes. But if it's a complex book I may take longer to re read things I may have missed.

I'm brutal. I try so hard to calm myself down and take my time but my excitement and enthusiasm for the book usually takes over and I end up reading it too fast, eyes flitting everywhere to soak in the art and presto, bammo, I'm done. In like, five to seven minutes. Which is why reading a comic issue two times is pretty standard for me, maybe a third time if I want to linger and bask in my favourites.

Trade paperbacks I can usually take my time with, since I usually have an idea of what I'm going to read.

Depends on multiple factors. How much I like the art, how the pacing of the story is, how the flow is.

Typically I'll take my time, and it'll be anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Some things I rush through, like if I'm not too into the art, and reading more for story. However if it's something like Mouse Guard or Rocket Raccoon (two of my favorite artists and writers), I'll take my time.

For example, I really didn't like the art in the first graphic novel of New X-Men by Grant Morrison. So I sped through that, mainly focusing on the reading. That took maybe a half hour to forty five minutes for the first (bigger edition) graphic novel. But something like Matt Fraction's Hawkeye, where I love teh art and writing and every other concievable thing about it, It took me a hour and a half.

Studying each panel and rereading things. On a two page spread of a crowd, I can spend a solid 5-10 minutes just studying and looking to see if the artist hid anything.

I guess wanting to be a writer and artist factor into this as well.
