Does anyone know how fast Aquman can swim in MPH, Knots, or KPH?
How fast can Aquaman swim?
Well in Aquaman 11 he jumped out of a plane where it's mentioned: "the speed he swims, he'll beat us to the island". No telling how fast the plane went but seeing as the average plane goes at 500 mph you can do the math :)

Sincerely,
Pre 52: Aquaman has hit 20,000 feet per second when in a serious hurry. That's nearly mach 20.
New 52: Aquaman outsped a hypersonic jet, so he's at least mach 5.
Either way, he could swim from one ocean to another in no time.
This
150 mph for 4 hours is laughable. Even in the 70s he had much better feats than this.
Plus although it's non quantifiable AQ preFlashpoint was keeping up with Flash, Superman and WW (Flash running on water, Supes and WW flying)
In Time and Tide he also surprises Flash while he is running.
As for postFlashpoint AQ he can go much faster than Mach 5. The plane he outswam (Operatives special plane called the Living Room) can go hypersonic. It was not a regular plane.
For comparison the Avenger's Quinjet has a max speed of Mach 2,1.
We don't know exactly how fast but Hypersonic Speed is between Mach 5 and Mach 10, and he put Operative's plane to shame in issue 11.
So at minimum he can go much faster than Mach 5, since Operative and the Others reached the same destination with AQ at least some minutes later, after AQ had time to sneak up on Manta's forces and observe them for a while.

Oh, my bad! Been a while since i read it. Thanks for the correction =)
In an old issue of Justice League (first series) Aquaman makes a comment of how he could likely outswimm Supes but doesn't do it because he doesn't want to hurt Superman's ego. Silver Age stuff.
The problem is his skin gets all wrinkled, (rather than attempt to emulate Aquaman, you can see this effect on yourself by lying in the bath for a few hours. Just make sure there’s some water in it or it may take forever). The wrinkles ruin his streamlined shape and can slow him down by up to 0.023 knots. Fortunately he has a ready supply of Elizabeth Arden anti-wrinkle lotion.
who the hell needs to swim at mach 20 lol but aquaman needs to be given more credit. he got nothing on my boy namor but he is pretty dope
Namor is kinda cool sometimes, but I'm pretty sure Black Panther is gonna hand him his @ss on a plate for what he did in AvX. Also Aquaman is way faster than Namor (among other things).who the hell needs to swim at mach 20 lol but aquaman needs to be given more credit. he got nothing on my boy namor but he is pretty dope

you are right about the BP thing because he is pissed. but im pretty sure that namor is vastly superior in every way except for the fact that Aquaman can swim faster and more powerful telepathic abilities

@Hyperlight: Namor's awesome but I like Aquaman more. Aquaman can swim faster too.
same thing as above

it doesn't matter because Superman,WW,and the flash can go way faster than him
That is besides the point. He is asking how fast Aquaman can swim, not if his swimming speed is faster than other heroes.
Lol. How can you go Mach 10 underwater? Against resistance from the water? He probably pummels a lot of sealife that unfortunately crosses his path. The problem is his skin gets all wrinkled, (rather than attempt to emulate Aquaman, you can see this effect on yourself by lying in the bath for a few hours. Superman lifting "5 times the weight of the Earth" or Iceman actually being sentient Ice by this point are equally ridiculous when you try to apply real world physics.
Not to mention Superboy Prime who literally punched through dimensions.
@WaveMotionCannon: True but this is comics. It smacks of writers wanking AQ to give him something to stabd out It's no way he can swim faster than a plane flying and still only be around the 60-70 ton mark. That would make him faster than someone like Quicksilver on land. Stupid writers

@comicfan11Aquaman has consistently been shown having a ridiculous swimming speed throughout his history.@WaveMotionCannon: True but this is comics. It smacks of writers wanking AQ to give him something to stabd out It's no way he can swim faster than a plane flying and still only be around the 60-70 ton mark. And Quicksilver was never even close to the level of top tier speedsters like the Flashes.
Swimming at supersonic speeds just sounds dumb. In fact, it wouldn't be swimming at all he'd have to have some mechanism for moving through the water that was more like telekinesis. Why the h*** does every characther in DC have to have super speed, super strength, and super durability? Isn't being able to talk to fish enough?
@WaveMotionCannon said:It's ridiculous because if that's the case on land he should be faster than quicksilver because of less resistance from air as opposed to water and he's never been shown as such.@comicfan11Aquaman has consistently been shown having a ridiculous swimming speed throughout his history.@WaveMotionCannon: True but this is comics. It smacks of writers wanking AQ to give him something to stabd out It's no way he can swim faster than a plane flying and still only be around the 60-70 ton mark. I'd go with him clocking a couple hundred knots but faster than a plane gtfoh.

@EdBlank: Not dumber than shooting laser out of ones eyes or stretching your body like a swing or turning to dumb green monster who thunderclaps energy.I know right ? Makes them uniform and boring sometimes, too cut and dry but I think that's a remnant if the Golden Age when DC was super corny.
Hulk doesn't thunderclap energy literally , he generates force through moving his big ass arms and supersonic speeds. It's the same thing as when someone swings at you , you can feel the wind from as it's being displaced and pushed by the mass of the fist.
The way you lashed out , you should be DC ComicsFan lol
@comicfan11 : Yes. The comic universes are strange places but the argument that "hey it's comics, what do you expect?" is tired. If none of the actual content matters, then why are we following these characters? I argue that while we have to have some fantastic elements, common sense and actual science can't just be completely ignored. For me prsonally it takes me out of the story when they do this kind of stuff. Basically some characters have no limits and that is *YAWN*. No drama.
@WaveMotionCannon: You can disagree, but DC continuity is what it is and Aquaman has always been that fast. That's a factUh you missed my point, he shouldn't be able swim that fast but if he is DC needs to show him able to move at blinding speeds on the surface because of the lesser resistance, he should be much stronger and quite capabke of leaping great distances ala Golden Age Superman due to having a physiology capable of that speed underwater. BTW DC plays as rough with continuity as Marvel (even rougher)
And I do believe you were the one who began bashing the DC writers for wanking AQ.
Anyway I didn't mean to sound like I was lashing out.
@EdBlank: I agree with your logic, but it simply doesn't happen in comics. The "it's just comics" argument might be tired but for better or worse this is the comic logic and it won't likely change.
@WaveMotionCannon: I know how Hulk's thunderclap works, but there's an issue where he actually deflects some energy blast with his thunderclap. We're cool. I did say they ( the writers) were wanking but if they're going to do it go all the way.
