It looks cool
how do you guys feel the new suicide sqaud movie
Looking forward to it
They assembled a really good cast imo. That said while I don't have a probably with Will Smith being cast as Deadshot, I just hope it's "serious actor" Will Smith and not the annoying "comedic" style he sometimes uses. I'm acutally hoping Oprah gets cast as Waller, anyone who's seen "The Color Purple" and "The Butler" knows she's got acting chomps, but something tells me she's not going to jump on board.
Also curious to see if the film will connect to others WB/DC are working on. With Joker involved and possibly Lex, will this plant seeds for Batman and Supermans eventual solo movies? Is Suicide Squad gonna be just a one-shot stand alone film? So many questions.
With this cast and David Ayer directing, I can't see how they could possibly mess this up.
Not caring that much to be honest.
As a Classic Squad fan, i dont care for the new members, the casting and the director.
I was excited to hear that it was based upon Ostrander's run & included Enchantress, then I heard about Will Smith as Deadshot. I won't be watching.
I'm quite excited. David Ayer's a great pick for director. Gritty, violent, high-intensity stuff with morally grey characters is his bread and butter. Anyone not familiar with him should check out Street Kings and End of Watch. I'm quite pleased with the casting, most of them have a fair deal of experience with the sort of archetypes they're playing and are all competent actors. I'm very interested to see what Jared Leto's Joker is like and in what capacity he'll be involved in the Squad's shenanigans (member, antagonist, interested third party?) If I have a complaint I'm a bit disappointed with Harley Quinn. To be clear I don't have a problem with Margot Robbie cast as her, I'm sure she'll do fine in the role. I just find the character to be extremely nerve-grating and would be more happy if she weren't in it even though I knew she was pretty much guaranteed once they announced the movie. Other than that though, I'm very optimistic.
