In Avengers AOU Thor brought Vision to life with his lightning. Why didn't the lightning break through the ceiling of the Avengers tower or am I missing something?
How did Thor's lightning not break through the ceiling?
@masterkungfu: He was holding back
Does it matter? We have to suspend our belief enough in these CMB movies. I mean the same could be said when Thor went, and save that woman in the car that fell off the bridge.I mean with the amount of Force from how he just flinged her up shouldn't he have ripped her arm off?
@masterkungfu: I assumed it came from the wiring in the building itself

It's magic.
Thor isn't limited by science or physics - he has very precise control over the weather effects generated by Mjolnir, unlike other superhumans who have more limitations.
@masterkungfu: Maybe he focused it through the metal or electrical systems in the building. Electricity doesn't need to follow a direct path. Its like how a lightning rod deflects lightning from your roof to the ground.

WTF, people actually thought it came from the sky? It came from the hammer...
