What about Ms Marvel, Black Widow, She-Hulk and all the other heroes who supported registration?
How come Iron Man is the only one blamed for Civil War?
@saren: this. Plus Iron Man just keeps effing up
@saren: @avenging_x_bolt: But Reed invented the prison, and Carol was pretty much his second in command AND the leader of the Mighty Avengers.
@waezi2: I'm aware. People pick on Iron Man because he was the boss and has more sins under his belt in general.
@waezi2: it's not a hundred percent fair but it happens.
I remember reading an interview where Mark Millar stated that the Pro-Registration side of the "war" was the good side. Reading the confessions story for Civil "War" made me see why Tony had to take that position but it's kinda unfair that he gets most of the blame.

If he said that, then that shows how horrible his writing is lol Did NOT see it that way.
@westy206: @night4345: Ah yes that is correct, thank you for reminding me. Although I think it's possible that real Hank Pym could have felt the same way.

Possibly. He definitely wouldn't help create a cyborg of a dear friend and sent it after other heroes. Hank of all people would know that's a bad idea.
Iron man shouldn't get all the blame, even if he was I one calling most the shots you still have Reed who was fully aware and contributing to the registration drive
Not saying that Iron man did do anything wrong but people dump all the blame on him
Supporting and putting the wheels in motion and enforcing are completely different things. Loved the arc hated the ending.
He would deserve all the blame he gets, and the rest be held responsible for their actions, were they not under the influence of PIS.
Leaders are always the focal point when it comes to placing blame or rewarding the success or failure of a project. Using war as an example... the generals are honored and remembered (Patton, Grant, etc) while the grunts and support are merely acknowledged.
And to be fair, Tony makes himself an easy target.
I blame Captain America, he was "The South" in this Civil War. :p
What do you mean "was"? It ain't over yet, bub. Anti-registration will rise again!
Seriously, though, what happened to the whole registration thing? Has it really been brought up since?
@battle_forum_junkie: Yeah, the president made Steve what whatever Osborn was, and Steve declared that registration was no more.
Just like that.
@battle_forum_junkie: Yeah, the president made Steve what whatever Osborn was, and Steve declared that registration was no more.
Just like that.
Well, that's... Convenient...
@battle_forum_junkie: Yeah, well, when Cap came back from the dead, he was pretty much Jesus.
@vrakmul: When you can get away with slapping your wife, you can get away with everything.
Look at poor Hank. He didn't even really hit Jan, and he is still referred to as "the wife beater"
Sue must really, really like Reed's elastic bedroom maneuvers to put up with a husband as terrible as Reed.
Because Reed Richards is god damn Houdini when it comes to Karma.
this. so much this.
Because he accepted the job of being the SRA poster-boy and to lead the charge against the non-signers.
Because Tony was the one who benefitted the most from the war. Tony ended up replacing Fury as a Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Not to mention the profits he got from the war (check Civil War : Frontline for the details).
@kairan1979: and the embezzlement, don't forget the embezzlement
@waezi2: Hank did hit Jan even though that's not the way it was supposed to be written originally. Women don't spontaneously end up with black eyes. And Reed hitting Sue was much more forgivable seeing as how she was under control of Malice at the time he was trying to bring her to her senses whereas Jan was trying to explain to Hank that it's not ok to build Killer robots to attack your teammates so that you can stay on a team.
@avenging_x_bolt: I know. And I think they should have settled with the killer-robots.
@kairan1979: You mean the one with "Your not american because you don't like race-cars, Cap!!!", right?
@waezi2: oh the Killer robot got it's turn. And it kicked Hank's ass.
@avenging_x_bolt: No, I meant JUST killer-robots.
... Seriously, Hank kinda sucks at being a scientist supreme...
@waezi2: oh ok, I see what you mean now. I agree, they screwed poor Hank up for life with that one. I thought the whole Scientist Supreme thing was just a lie from Loki. Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a Hank hate thread. Dude is a Fantastic character IMO and one of my fav Avengers.
@avenging_x_bolt: Me too.
The aftermath made it seem like another one of Tony's poorly thought out "I know best crusades" which it partly was but Reed should of definitely taken a lot more heat.
The Hank Pym who appeared in Civil War was Skrull so Hank got a free pass for a change although his best friend was murdered so it wasn't that much of a win for him.
@chamber-music: Cap has I-Know-Better crusades all the time now. How is that any different?
