Does anyone remember the old Hostess ads ran in comic books late 1970's like with Batman , Superman & Captain America , were they stop some unknow bad guy stealing all the Twinkey or or Ho Ho's or what ever , I find the writting hokey and the plot wooden but all in all, they seem to be a fun read and it's a part of history of comics. so in closing should these make come back into todays comics?

yeah, there's also Green Lantern Snow Balls, and yeah, they're green! I think Superman had zingers and The Flash had cup cakes too. but his were red. lol
I do remember them! I loved these ads when I was a kid because I loved (and still do love) superheroes and the Hostess products. My favorites were the Cap vs Red Skull Twinkies one and the Hulk vs Abomintation and Wendigo one. These were cool.
Erik Larsen did a parody of a Hostess ad with Mighty Man, somewhere along the way. I've always wanted to see a TPB of all the Hostess ads, just for nostalgia's sake. You can also find Hostess ads scanned at seanbaby.com.
Two things come to mind about this ad: 1) For the crowd, that is one danged expensive cup cake! and 2) Why not ask Hawkman to sing? You'd think he could sing like a bird. ;D
