Hawkeye to be recast for avengers 2?

there is talk all over online saying marvel is recasting Jeremy Renner a Hawkeye but i like him as Hawkeye. Sure in the avengers he was a brain washed zombie but if he had a change to play Hawkeye right he could do a good job. what do you think is this a good move by marvel or do you guys like Jeremy Renner?

Eh, I'm pretty sure I read an interview somewhere where he said he agreed to the part of Hawkeye, but was never given the opportunity to PLAY Hawkeye. Given that he had around four lines in Thor and then was a zombie for Avengers, I'm inclined to agree.

I'm willing to give him another shot at Hawkeye.

yea I think Renner fits Hawkeye, he just needs some extra spotlight

Renner sucked as Hawkeye. He wasn't able to pull off being a smart ass at all with few lines he had.

Jeremy Renner deserves another shot. I know he can do awesome, it was proven in the blooper reel.

I rather not have an entire new cast of Avengers, but if we must get another Hawkeye I nominate Chris Pine

Since hawkeye's character was barely featured in the MCU its impossible to say whether or not he's a good hawkeye because he was never given the opportunity. I'd like to have him back so he can have the opportunity to prove he can play hawkeye but it isn't that big of a deal. Thor is a bigger deal right now.

Get rid of him and his giant nose.

That's just the writers' fault.

Well pretty much everything he said in Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol was meant to be witty banter, and the banter was fine he just said it in a really dry serious way like everything else he says. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he was originally meant to be witter in Avengers and they needed to change the dialog for him.

He signed on and was promised a big role as Hawkeye and had his part rewritten after Whedon took over. Movie turned out great and all, but poor Renner. He seemed pretty bummed about it in the interview I read.

They really owe it to him and the character to give him his time in the spotlight this time around.

But when is Wasp ever going to get a Avengers Movie debut..? I mean she was the original team after all! She came up with the name "avengers"!The least they can do is let her be in it!

The rumors aren't based on any facts, I'd like to state first. 2ndly he already has a contract with Marvel for several more movies so I doubt they'll break it. 3rd people are skipping over the other rumor which came with it that actually has some basis in fact and that is BLACK PANTHER WILL BE IN PHASE 2!

Yeah I've already heard that excuse. Look into the SNL episode with Renner, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, or any other time where he's show how dry and humorless he is.

I want more of Jeremy Renner. Marvel never really gave him a chance, but now they just want to throw Renner out? That's wrong.

SNL is known for being un-funny and mediocre, thats what people love about it.

Also, his character in Ghost Protocol wasn't supposed to be funny.

I liked him as Hawkeye. I loved Scarlett as Widow. Everyone as who they were. No need for a cast change, they're too far into the series now!

He was a pretty good smart-ass in SWAT. I think he was a pretty good Hawkeye, and hope he gets a bigger part/more lines in Avengers 2.

Well you're making up the SNL thing, but that aside even when he's on The Tonight Show or Conan he just made the funny stuff the hosts said seem awkward.

His character was meant to bicker with Tom Cruise's character for comic relief, but it just didn't work. All the Mission Impossible movies are meant to have subtly witty humor to make you smile or smirk through them.

He was a really bad choice, and overall isn't that great an actor. He was carried by Ben Athlec in The Town, he was carried by Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, and he was Carried by everyone in The Avengers. The one time he had a chance to stand on his own two feet in The Bourne Legacy he completely flopped.
