Has Marvel's comicbooks jumped the shark?

yes but nothing at dc really interests me either atm

Each company still has a few good books. But overall, both are down at the moment.

Both companies have jumped the shark at several stages in their existence. Its just the way the comic industry works due to its longevity, it has its ups and downs.

I've been reading Valiant, IDW and other companies.

Nah, in the grand scheme of things there's way wackier shit they could pull and in the past have.

@godzilla44: I kind of see it as Marvel is making dumb descions, while a lot of DCs current books just aren't that good.

this is why i stick with DC marvel comics went from jumping the shark straight to the insane asylum minus the new wolverine i actually like x-23 lol

I've honestly only been reading classic Marvel(70 - 90), every time I try to read anything modern. I'm either underwhelm or just plain uninterested in it.

@eyedcyou: The good thing about DC is they value the "Pantheon" without changing too much, and giving other characters a chance. I have not hate for both companies though.

No more than they, like most other comic companies as old as they are have.

DC are fine right now with Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Justice League etc. A day ago I would've advised Marvel fans to stick with Marvel, and then I saw Pregnant Spiderwoman.

Where's the vertigo, image, valiant,IDW ?

I would pick them over Marvel(obviously),vertigo beats most DC and so on. But I do like that Dc is trying to not get tangled into continuity and try to create good stories instead.

I hardly read Superhero comics nowadays so whatever Marvel does, as long as it doesn't involves their horror characters, Dark Tower, Empire of the Dead or MAX books , doesn't really matters to me.
