Has a villain ever become a hero ?

Has a villain became a hero and stayed that way ?

Hawkeye and Multiple Man immediately spring to mind.

Hawkeye, Black Widow, Multiple Man, Emma Frost, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man (I think he went back), Punisher, Magneto goes back and forth, Doc Samson also tends to go back and forth, Wolverine was technically a Hulk villain in his first appearance, The entire Suicide Squad, Most of the Thunderbolts.

I liked it when the Riddler reformed and became a PI in Gotham. That was really interesting.

Almost every single one of Goku's friends.

I always wondered, did criminal Hawkeye do anything truly villianous in his first appearences? Like did he kill anyone or directly allow other villians to succeed?

Punisher was never really a villain, anti-hero

The Vision was created by Ultron to be a villain, but rebelled and joined the Avengers instead.

Many anti-heroes lean back and fourth but then again they are mainly anti-heroes..

no. he was actually acting heroic if i remember correctly.he didnt really do anything villainous until black Widow came into the picture

no, he was criminal when he was young but he had reformed long before he got his powers.

back on the subject Major Disaster and Fatality were villains once.as was Bronze Tiger (although he was mind controlled)

Magneto, Catwoman, Deathstroke, Black Adam, Namor and Venom tend to go back and forth between good and bad.

Bane also comes to mind he became an anti-hero. I also have seen Rhino do a lot of heroic things in his days...

I loved that period. I wish Riddler would go back to being a PI; it felt like his character was growing.

Rogue formally worked with the Brotherhood before she joined the X-Men.
