Hal Jordan or John Stewart

Who character do you like more? and who do you like more as Green Lantern? Why?

I like John

Hal Jordan, easy. He's more enjoyable to read. Honestly the New 52 JL has missed him IMO. And I love Barry Allen / Hal Jordan bromance...want a book for them so bad.

I find John boring. And I don't really care to watch cartoons anymore. I enjoyed them when I was a kid, but meh.

John, because Hal is obnoxious.

I dislike both but find Hal more palatable. John is too damn serious.

@joygirl: Well to be fair I dont know all that much about John, I just find Hal very offputting - so that might be a factor! But who knows, have to be a first time for everything. :O

@bruxae: Honestly I dislike Hal too -- I hate him -- I just hate John more. He just seems like a waste of space to me, he doesn't even have the fact that he is oppressively dickish like Guy to give him character. John just seems to clog things up like a really gooey crap.

John. And no, not because of the cartoon. The man still has so much potential that DC never uses. Somebody on the site even gave an example of how he could be filled out, a great one! Hal? He dlesn't appeal to me, at all.

Hal. I find him a bit more relatable than the others. John can be awesome at times but other times he can be boring or just plain unlikeable. Kyle has cool constructs but can be a little whiny and comes off as a deux ex machina to me. Guy well......do i really need to explain whats wrong with him?

John from the cartoon. Guy from the comics.

John is a boring, stoic character that isn't charming like other stoic characters (Batman). Hal easily is more entertaining.

Hal Jordan was the GL I liked when I got into comics, so I naturally stick with what I've been with. I really like John Stewart, though.

I wish there wasn't so much division over what GL to like. I love Green Lantern in general so I'd have to rack my brain to find one I don't like lol

I do understand people's complaints about John seeming kind of vanilla at times. But honestly I think it's just because many writers don't know how to write him other than the straight man cop ya know? He has potential, it's just not always fully realized.
