just like batman took on the form of a bat to represent his greatest fear, jason did the same with the joker and the red hood, which ultimately started it all off

@xwraith: well i have no idea, but i'll take an insanely vague guess and say that it was jean grey, who met groot! maybe someone else knows it for sure, if I'm wrong, which i probably am

@mezame: It wasn't Jean. This story actually took place about four years (by real-world time) before The Trial of Jean Grey.
