Ok here's a question that's on my mind, it's been said and shown that a green lantern ring (and probably power rings in general since they run off the same basic technology) can absorb energy but can only release that energy they absorbed. If that's true then couldn't a green lantern theoretically absorb the solar radiation in superman's cells that powers his powers and render him powerless?

They only absorb energy from nonliving sources if memory serves me so the answer is no.

Green Lantern started out as magic similar to Aladdin's lamp in the golden age so it can be hard to explain.
