@vortex13: you are right but it's not because we don't see hawkeye trains himself that it doesn't do so, most of the time hawkeye doesn't have a solo serie he's always with a team and we can see him sometimes train with captain america in avengers books and when he was in the west coast avengers they used to show him train if i remember well and besides Green Arrow has got a lot of book dedicated to him so for sure the writers will show us how he's training especially since he had so many sidekicks. What I like about Clint is because is a regular guy with our kind of problems is because of that he went on to be a criminal first before he chance he's way this could have been any of us he find his salvation through archery not like DC like to show most of their characters are rich and can afford anything and they are super smart and powerful.
They're both fantastic, and nothing really between them in quality. In saying that Hawkeye as a series has been brilliant since the start, whereas Green Arrow's just been good since Lemire took over, but to be honest I can't decide either way.
I have not even really had a desire to read Green Arrow (though his brief bits in Injustice have piqued my interest a little). I wouldn't have bothered to read any Hawkeye either but everyone flips out about how great it is and the first issue was free. So I read it. And now I want to buy all of it. Any book that sells me on the very first issue is probably a safe bet to call superior.
I've read both and Hawkeye is better no question. However, when Shado starts making appearances I'll probably lean toward Green Arrow.
@doordoor123: Actually not really.
see I always thought of Marvel as Starwars and DC as Star Trek. I read them both, but Green Arrow started out really really shitty. It has gotten better but no where as good as Hawkeye. Hawkeye is so fresh in it's own way right now. Purple Noir.
Green Arrow for me. Read the first trade of Hawkeye and comparing it to GA so far I'll take Ollie.
I went with Hawkeye, because he has had a stronger run the Arrow. Take the last story arc with Komodo out of the picture and his book has been a mess.
Hawkeye is my favorite current Marvel series, but Lemire/Sorrentino are also crushing it on Green Arrow every month. Ollie is my favorite character so I give GA the nod.
@k4tzm4n: So which title do you like better?

It's possible I voted for Green Arrow.
It's also possible that's due to me being head over heels in love with Sorrentino's art.
@k4tzm4n: Sorrentino is all that and a bag of chips. His art is one of the reasons I loved I Vampire.
Is Green Arrow good? I haven't bothered with his comic but Ive been interested.
Ive recently started reading Hawkeye and I like how its not about him as an Avenger but about the trouble he gets into in his daily life. Bro its pretty good, Bro.

It's phenomenal, and easily my favorite book of the New 52. Lemire delivers intense action while weaving an intriguing mystery. And Andrea Sorrentino's art is so good. He has some pretty creative panel layouts, and his art is just beautiful. The coloring is also a big highlight.
@the_tree: Alright cool, I guess Ill check it out.

Listen to this, people. This book is only getting better and better. That's not to say Fraction's Hawkeye is bad, it's freakin' great as well, it's just that Green Arrow is shaping up to be one of the best runs on the character ever. Hopefully Lemire keeps it up, because he's quickly becoming one of my favorite writers of all time (which may sound like an exaggeration but I have read plenty of stuff from him).
Both are a lot more similar than one would think, but I like Hawkeye's charm more.
Reading both titles, love both titles, but im voting for hawkguy aka Hawkeye bro... fraction/aja's run has been phenomenal since issue 1. Thats 10 issues to lemires 4 greenarrow issues...
Right now, they're both great comics with exciting stories and amazing art work! Hawkeye may have the edge because of the unique setup and atmosphere, as well as mostly ignoring all that superhero and superpowers stuff.
Hawkeye was a boring character until Fraction made him funny. GA in the New52 was unbearable until Lemire took over. Lemire's first arc The Kill Machine was brilliant and I can't wait for more (there's still so many unanswered questions that need answers @Magus)... from both comics.
I'm not picking up either monthly at the moment, but Jeff Lemire is far more a superior writer in my opinion than Fraction. I'm biased when I say that of course.
Lemire's Green Arrow is better than Fraction's Hawkeye but Early New 52 Green Arrow by Krul was sh*t. Sh*t in a bad way. Just my opinion. But the Komodo arc... Wow!
They're both really great books and Green Arrow is so much better now that they made the creative change to Lemire/Sorrentino. I understand the obvious reason to compare these two books, but beyond that they have very little in common.
Hawkeye is by far the better book. It's been called one of the best Marvel books since it started with the whole Marvel Now launch. It's fresh, it's original, it's well written, it's well illustrated, it's well...................purple. It's one of Fractions best books since he left Iron Man, and he left Iron Man right before he started writing Hawkeye. Green Arrow might have the surprise favorite charater on Injustice Gods Amongst Us Video game, but Hawkeye has the better comic book. It's gonna get a lot of vote for best title this year just like last year, and the good thing is it's been going strong since it started. Green Arrow crept back from cancellation death and was handed to a new writer and has been great, but it hasn't been Hawkeye. "Right Bro??"
Traditionally a DC guy, but now i'm a hawkguy. His book is superior to just about everything being published right now and that's a fact.
This is exactly my thoughts.
