Ok lets try something a little harder shall we if you had to pick a super hero. Wich one will you chose Green Arrow or Hawkeye? and why?
Green Arrow or Hawkeye?
Hmm this is a tough one. Though I am more of a DC guy myself. I find Hawkeye more entertaining to read as a person. but just for being a pure bad ass right now I might say Green Arrow. But im not a fan of using straight up arrows all the time. I miss the good old fashioned gimmick arrows (eg: the boxing glove arrow). If i had to go for costume, I would lean towards Green Arrow. so 2/3 for green arrow.
Hawkeye, I believe they are probably about equal in fighting ability, and archery IMO Hawkeye has a better costume and has a better personality tho I do love GA too
I would pick Green Arrow because he is more interesting of a character.Agreed, Even though I prefer Marvel, I find Green Arrows characterization and supporting cast more interesting, as well as the crazy stuff he's done like become Mayor of his city
I'm more of Marvel fan... However....
Hawkeye is something of an...um... What's a good euphemism for 'arrogant prick?' Well, pick a euphemism of your choice and put it in there.
He just tends to think more of himself than he should... He's been around a long time but he's still very rash; too quick to act before actually getting the facts...
Ollie, on the other hand, is more of a think first then act type of guy. And he doesn't try to have sex with every super heroine he works with, just Black Canary... Which is wise...
when i think of Hawkeye, i think of a fairly useless guy on the Avengers with very good Archery skills
when i think of Green Arrow, i think of Badass loner who on occasion teams up with the Justice League
. Hawkeye is something of an...um... What's a good euphemism for 'arrogant prick?'Douchebag??
@The Stegman: Hawkeye is one of the best H2H combatants in the Marvel universeWhat? You're joking right? Name ONE serious villain that he's fought hand to hand! LOLOL! I'm just kidding!!!
He's definitely one of the best hand to hand combatants... I didn't mean to disparage his abilities... They speak for themselves...
@joshmightbe: i believe it, but sadly they don't show enough of that in most of the Avengers stuff he's in, i'd like to see a limited series to show off his skills, everytime i read him, all he is, is the guy shooting arrows in the background while Thor and Ironman handle the restI think he's portrayed well in the Avengers animated show, he took on just about all of Hydra with just Mockingbird at his side, he has had some great feats in certain Avengers issues but nothing greatly consistent

@joshmightbe:
@The Stegman: Granted he isn't much use against Ultron but when you're dealing with Hydra or the Hand he's a guy you want on your side
i LOVE Hawkeye in "Earth's mightiest heroes" he's funny (alot funnier than his comic counterpart) cool, sleek and gets the job done, not to mention he's a pretty good detective, if they would take him, and give him a limited series, or even an ongoing, i'd read it, that's why i prefer Green Arrow, he has shown great feats while on a team, and going solo, also, giving a character their own series helps fill out their characterization as well
Yeah, but I still think GA's cartoon counterpart was > Hawkeyes', He basically saves the League from breaking up in "divide we fall" also he has some of the best quotes and he solos Brimstone with sticks and a carbon rod, there was one episode late in the series where sings along with his theme while kicking some guy in the face....EPIC!!@cattlebattle:

@Timandm: He is a bit arrogant but no where near the levels of douche baggery of Iron manHawkeye would have to use a Rocket to reach the levels of douche baggery that Iron Man has a Achieved... Iron Man is the quintessential douche bag... (and for the record, I mean douche bag in a bad way)
almost, it's missing when he sings his theme song and his scenes from Cat and the Canary and Double Date......I forgot about Patriot Act and the Legion episode, holy sh*t I've gotta get on youtube and watch them they were classics@cattlebattle:
this about sums it up
I'd go with Green Arrow. I don't care about Hawkeye very much.
Although I'd be hard pressed to decide between Mia Speedy and Kate Hawkeye.
Some points for the less knowledgable.
1. Clint isn't that great of a hand to hand combatant
2. Clint has had 2 solos and 3 mini-series
3. Clint isn't any more rash or a douchebag than green arrow
4. Clint is a Bad Ass as well
As for the thread though? Hawkeye
2. He's had more than that if you count Reunion and Hawkeye and MockingbirdSome points for the less knowledgable. 1. Clint isn't that great of a hand to hand combatant 2. Clint has had 2 solos and 3 mini-series 3. Clint isn't any more rash or a douchebag than green arrow 4. Clint is a Bad Ass as well As for the thread though? Hawkeye
3. Some peoples opinions would differ

@cattlebattle: I so love the scene where Speedy and Crimson Avenger show up... The dialogue between Arrow and Speedy is excellent. Green Arrow and The Question should have their own series...
Yeah Green Arrows tone of disappointment in his voice is when they first show up is lol, GA and Question were the reason I watched that series.
@cattlebattle:
I know. You could also count Widowmaker, I guess.
Those that have read his Thunderbolts, Fabien solo series, and other appearances know he isn't rash or a douchebag. He's quite the opposite.
@cattlebattle: I always looked at it as anyone who had no powers who decides they can be a super hero has to be at least a little arrogantI guess all heroes are arrogant in one way another, I guess Punisher wouldn't be being he's so crazy and all
the thing s about hawkeye i love is that he is learning and evolving , now yes he falls hard for a woman. but the woman who made him as a person evolve the most was Mockingbird and he is still in love with her even after the events of crossfire and phantom rider. Plus he worked hard to become the hero you see today. Plus he has lead 3 teams , West coast avengers, great lake avengers and the thunderbolts. I'm going with Hawkeye
@Strafe Prower: Hell yeah, when it boils down to it, Hawkeye is a straight up hero > some with super powers, Same could be said for Arrow as I don't think he has as much of an attitude as Hawkeye has, he's more prone to being a sarcastic douche than an arrogant one.
agreed
It would seem like an even fight but just recently they made Hawkeye a badass. I have to give it hawkeye, just because a boxing glove arrow is petty gay.
