What do you consider to be the greatest comic book movie of all time.

It's tough for me. I still really like Superman (the original). I cannot say it is the greatest but it is in the top 5

When I first saw the topic the first thought that came into my mind was that Superman movie but I'm also leaning towards the first of these Spiderman movies.

V for Vendetta

#4 Posted by NiteFly (1459 posts) - - Show Bio

The Crow.

#5 Posted by Octagon Freak (11158 posts) - - Show Bio

Transformers was a pretty damn good movie. I also like the Spider-Man and Fantastic Four movies, but that's just my opinion.

NiteFly says:

"The Crow."

i was going to say x-men 2 (yes i know there are huge screw-ups it's still a damn fine movie) but the crow is about as close to perfect as a movie can be. so my vote is the crow as well.

i agree al three was my fav

Yeah, I forgot that I liked the X-Men trilogy as well, no matter what people say.

I am one of the few that actually thought the third one was the best. I thought they made magneto out to be too much of a wimp in the first couple.

#10 Posted by Octagon Freak (11158 posts) - - Show Bio

I liked all three, and the third one was good, no matter what people say.

#11 Posted by The Mighty Thor (7469 posts) - - Show Bio

i thought it was good to but it only concentrate on logan which i didn't like

Again someone calls wolverine logan. It makes me feel good to know I am not the only James Howelett hater.

Spider-Man 2

#14 Posted by The Mighty Thor (7469 posts) - - Show Bio

spiderman 2 was good

#15 Posted by Li'l T-bo (145 posts) - - Show Bio

sin city was SUPER accurate. 300 also.

batman begins was decent.

how about hasslehoff as nick fury, anyone?

#16 Posted by Flying Fox (98 posts) - - Show Bio

The Crow was perfect. Of the others mentioned though I like the first X-Men & Spiderman movies all those thereafter did nothing for me.

#17 Posted by Rotten gun (2509 posts) - - Show Bio

BLADE its one of my top 5 fave movies of any kind

#18 Posted by zero edge (3696 posts) - - Show Bio

Men in Black... lol

#19 Posted by The_Martian (36984 posts) - - Show Bio

I would have to say the Spider-Man movies but Transformers comes in a very close second.

N-Man says:

i was going to say tranformers aswell but it was created out of the toys so i wasn't sure to class it as a genuine comic movie, more a toy thats become a movie?

#21 Posted by Phorqe (2109 posts) - - Show Bio

First two Spider-man movies hands down. Next X2 or Blade 1, Sin City, Batman Begins, Batman.

Transformers isn't out here until the 27th (same day as the Simpsons, which will I see first?), so I can't comment on that. Good that people rate it highly though. Mine is Superman because it set the standard. It showed that if you're true to the source, you'll (usually) get a great film. That's true of Spider-man and the X-Men films. Also true of any of the good Batman films. The Shumacher Batman sucked because it strayed away from Batman's world. Superman Returns struggled because it moved away on certain areas, Superman running of for 5 years and Lois having a kid.

The first TMNT movies will always be my favorite. Shredder was a bad ass. As was a lot of the martial arts in the movie.

shudder Only good thing about Batman Forever was the Riddler and the line "Holey rusted metal, Batman!"

X-Men, either one or two. Xavier: The next time you feel like showing off--don't.

Sin City and Wanted.

#34 Posted by King Quisling (1980 posts) - - Show Bio

IMO
 - Blade
 - Road to Perdition
 - The Incredible Hulk
 - Men in Black
-  Iron Man
- Conan the Barbarian
- The Rocketeer
- Batman & Batman Returns
- X-Men & X2
- American Splendor
- Swap Thing
- Ghost World
- Persepolis
- Justice League: New Frontier
- Flash Gordon (There should be more comic related rock operas. :D)
- Dick Tracy
- Akira (I know it's a manga & not a comic but whatever. Same difference.)
- Spawn
- Teenage Mutant Ninjas Turtles (original)

No particular order. Just my favorites.

#35 Posted by Morpheus_ (29873 posts) - - Show Bio
01. The Dark Knight/Batman Begins
02. Spider-man 2
03. X2: X-Men United
04. Iron Man
05. X-Men

V for Vendetta was also great, perhaps on another level than most of the films above, save Nolan's.

Superman right at the top :)
re: Superman Returns....he did leave the Earth for a prolonged period of time in the 90's so that was ok, Lois with a kid though....yea :(
Transformers was an awsome movie.......how accurate idk because I don't read the comics.
My other favs would include, Batman Begins, Batman, Captian America (for the reason stated, lol), and I'm sure I could come up with more, lol
I did enjoy Daredevil as well, even getting over him lettin the guy get run over, :'/
anyway...I do go on.......

V for Vendetta would be my choice.

Don't forget films like History of Violence too.

For me Batman Begins was better than the Dark Knight.

#41 Posted by Son_of_Magnus (15258 posts) - - Show Bio

Best for me was The Mask Sin City or Crow

Worst for me was G.I. Joe or the Nolan movies because they werent comic movies to me I didn't like them in the first place and then the following they recieved and people thinking there the second coming made me dislike them even more then bat nipples

V for Vendetta or Road to Perdition.

Always was, and always will be - Superman The Movie. Saw it not long ago, 25 years after I saw it the first time, and it brought tears to my eyes. Chris Reeve's acting has never been challenged in terms of comic book heroes.

1. Dark Knight

2. Ninja Turtules

3. Blade

4.Daredevil

5. The Hulk reboot

The Original 1986 Transformers movie without question or doubt.

R.I.P.
Orson Welles
