Mine would be Sandman.

Millar's Ultimates; and The Longbow Hunters.

#3 Posted by Billy Batson (54586 posts) - 6 months, 24 days ago - Show Bio

Grant Morrison's Animal Man. Pretty much because of the last issue.

Swamp Thing and Animal Man. Its not that I don't like them, I just have absolutey no interest even if they get so much acclaim.

Everybody that I know that has read it seems to like it.

Ok now I have never read any but I would say I don't like any of the Batman or Superman comic books only because to me it seems like DC promotes Batman and Superman alot while neglecting their other titles. There was a big promotion for Death In The Family but what about Hawkman Wanted? I think unless you were a regular reader of Hawkman you wouldn't have known about it.

I must say Kingdom come, cool concept but just didn't like it at all.

The ongoing Batwoman.

#20 Posted by Eternal19 (1553 posts) - 6 months, 24 days ago - Show Bio

The Dark Knight Returns. I read it it was ok up until the last two issues, where Miller makes Superman into some government lackey.

Grant Morrison's Batman run. Weird purely for the sake of being weird.

#23 Posted by JediXMan (23362 posts) - 6 months, 24 days ago - Show Bio

Not "great," but a lot of people like it:

Kick Ass. I do not like it.

#24 Posted by TheCrowbar (4286 posts) - 6 months, 24 days ago - Show Bio

Batwoman. I'd like to see her more integrated into the Bat-Family.

Anything by Frank Miller, he seems to really love facism.

Killing Joke

Crisis on Infinite Earths

Batman Year one, it could've been better

@guttridgeb:

Yup I am one of the few people who doesn't like Watchmen. I enjoy some of the characters but I didn't find it entertaining or uniquely thought provoking. To each there own.

I don't hate it, but I'm not particularly swayed by Frank Miller's Batman work.

All Star Superman.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who wasn't a fan of the Watchmen comic.

But yeah, I didn't like Watchmen, I haven't even finished it to be honest. It's just not my cup of tea.

Really? Not even Year One?

While Watchmen was good I did not think it was as great as most people say it is. Most of Moore's other works are better by miles(What ever happened to the man of tomorrow?, for the man who has everything, the violator miniseries, etc)

#33 Posted by SavageDragon (1715 posts) - 6 months, 23 days ago - Show Bio

Neil Gaiman Sandman for me.

#34 Posted by DonFelipe (616 posts) - 6 months, 23 days ago - Show Bio

Captain America, Spider-Man, and everything X or otherwise mutant is totally boring and I'm not entirely against Marvel. Moon Knight is pretty cool.

I have never met anyone online that liked it. But I have never me anyone IRL that doesn't rave about it.

As for me I'd say Flash Rebirth and 300

It's funny, once I read the title to this thread I immediately thought of Sandman. I might not phrase it as dislike but I keep trying to get into it and it hasn't really drawn me in.

Much of Alan Moore's work (though some of it I love).

Particularly didn't care for:

From Hell

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

The Hypothetical Lizard

#42 Posted by Mucklefluga (1728 posts) - 6 months, 23 days ago - Show Bio

The Dark Knight Returns

#43 Posted by Deranged Midget (13681 posts) - 6 months, 23 days ago - Show Bio

@JediXMan: Liked it, didn't love it. And I wasn't fond of his Dark Knight Returns work either.

Fair. I liked the first half of TDKR. The second half lost me (and I never liked the art style).

Dark KNight returns, Just about Everything Morrison except for AllStar Superman. His JLA run started out great. went downhill.

I don't see why everybody is so crazy over The Killing Joke, I mean it was good but It doesn't live up to all the hype everyone applies to it.

The current run of Wonder Woman. I don't hate it, but I couldn't get into it. I read the WW Vol. 1.
