Good comics about gay superheroes?

Do you know a good series about homosexual superheroes? Me and a friend talked about comics the other day(or rather, she asked and I told her about them, since I was the nerd) and she asked me if there was titles about gay superheroes.

I myself only knows Spinnerette.

Batwoman is really good. Rucka's Renee Montoya stories in Gotham Central and as the Question are great too.The Rictor/Shatterstar stuff in X-Factor was really well done.

Not a superhero but I highly recommend My Friend Dahmer.

If we're being real though, it isn't Earth 2 anymore. It's Injustice 2: Superman Strikes Back.

Pretty much my choices here.

The Midnighter/Apollo relationship is the only gay relationship in comics that I've enjoyed.

I kinda like Tom Taylor, when he's funny and stuff, but I'm pretty effin' pissed about the state of the JSA in the New 52.

@timelordscience: My only problem with him is that we've only seen him write the same story so far. And yeah, the JSA characters should not be on the back burner like this. They killed the Trinity off in Earth 2 #1 specifically to prevent that from happening, and to ensure the JSA characters got the spotlight. Now multiple Supermen are back, as well as a new Batman. I mean, c'mon!

Runaways hasn had a new series in awhile but if you pick up the trades its awesome!

Northstar in the X-Men comics, Young Avengers, Batwoman, There was a gay version of Wolverine in the X-Treme X-Men series awhile back.

I agree with everyone else about the recent version of Young Avengers although the run is done, unfortunately. Some might say it was really heavy handed in its portrayal of its characters and their sexuality but that's up to the reader. You could claim the latest (and also cancelled) version of the Defenders has homosexual heroes but I wouldn't suggest it because I didn't find it to be a quality book. You might though.

@waezi2: I recommend Greg Rucka's Detective Comics run: Batwoman: Elegy from 2010. If your friend enjoys that, then the New 52 Batwoman series is great for the first 20 or so issues, and picks up shortly after Elegy leaves off. They're both great reads, and some of my favorite runs in comics, so I definitely say check them out.

Greg Rucka's Gotham Central also focuses heavily on Renee Montoya, a homosexual character, so you could check that out as well. Another great read.

aquaman is not gay the new 52 aquaman is bad ass and can beat superman and batman at the same time
