Get a First Look at the Premiere of Constantine on NBC

Coming on October 24th, to NBC, Constantine takes hold of the mystical elements of the Vertigo and DC Universe and brings it to the small screen. Based on the properties HELLBLAZER and CONSTANTINE, this new television series promises to give fans a new look at a John Constantine, DC's resident, cynical, trenchcoat wearing "hero." The pilot was very good. Not as good as Flash, but much better than Gotham. I'm excited!

Looks pretty good but I have one worry. I'm from England so noticed Constantine has a Welsh accent. Isn't he supposed to be from Liverpool?

So the top 3 most famous comicbook characters of all time are, in order, Batman Superman & Constantine? Huh. With all the popularity of the MCU, I would've expected Iron Man to be in there.

Looks so much better than the Keanu Reeves movie, it's not even funny. And that wasn't horrible as a movie, just wasn't Constantine.

He was born there, but he grew up in London.

Honestly its probably a case of dumb american casting a guy who sounds "English" because the audience won't know better.

Plus I mean, there's only so much you can get right yanno? Are you really going to restrict you choice of actor to London accent's only?

Well, those dumb Americans did cast Henry Cavill to play someone who was raised in Kansas so I guess Wales is as close to Liverpool as it gets and most of the rest of the world won't notice the different accent anyways. Besides how many half-decent actors from Liverpool are there? The only guy I could think of is David Morrissey ("The Governor" from Walking Dead) and he doesn't look like Constantine much. Having said this Matt Ryan seems to be a good fit.

Lame! No interest at all. Until i see reviews for the first episode i may watch it.

Too early to watch it. I'll have to wait until the first season is over.

I saw it, it stomps Gotham so hard isnt even funny.
