Villains usually care less about that, Batman will beat you to a pulp but hold off from killing you. Provide you were either an extremely compassionate hero or villain, I think knockout gas would be your main line of attack. Trouble is, it would not take long for people to start prepping with gas masks. At which point you would be doomed.
Any other ways? I can't think of any....
