So it looks like DC will be getting a lot of my money this month
What are you looking forward to?
anything you'll be buying that you normally wouldn't?
have a favorite cover?
(after you read them) how were the books?
Not really. I'll stick to what I'm all ready pulling unless something gets like glorious reviews and is a must-read.
I might skip my DC titles in September. Not a fan of their September gimmick. The stories are already decompressed enough without having to wait 2 months for the story to progress.
I assume they do that to celebrate the anniversary of the reboot.
I don't read monthlies anymore but I'm sure it'll be like any other gimmick. Good, bad and things right in the middle.
@cap10nate: @xwraith: It's more or less part of the continuing story Futures End, but I totally get why you feel that way
for now I have it sort of divided into 3 lists, 1-on pull list, 2-not on pull list but will get, 3-and maybe, and only for this and next week(the ones with previews)
This week
1- Green Arrow
2- Grayson, Earth 2
3- Action Comics, Aquaman, Batwing, Detective Comics, Green Lantern, Swamp Thing
Next Week
1- Justice League United
2- Green Lantern Corps, Worlds Finest
3- Batman, Birds of Prey, Constantine,
I would suggest Green Arrow for everyone
it's the last of the creative team Lemire, Sorrentino, and Maiolo, possibly some of the best art around
before Sorrentino moves to Marvel, and Lemire does more indie titles
Edit: Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino did an interview rhat also includes a 4 page preview (click on the cover near the bottom om the page)

@regiebravo: @rev_sulphur: If you're getting Justice League You'll also want Justice League United, they're connected (the only ones I think)
@mrnoital: When I say Justice League I mean all the titles.
@regiebravo: dark as well?
So yeah a lot of my money goes to DC this month
@mrnoital: Cool, thanks.
I'll bump this with a list of what titles(that I know of) had importance to the futures end story line
Green Arrow
Action Comics
Earth 2 kind of did, but I think it tied in better with their continuing series and earth 2: World End
and next week World Finest might be the only one
anything anyone enjoyed this week?
I caved and bought Green Arrow for the sole reason that I loved Lemire and Sorrentinos run, it was incredible and tied into the weekly perfectly. I may start picking up Futures End again due to the cliffhanger at the end.
@transformers1024: yeah, I thought that was probably the best Issue of the week, maybe the month
and it looks like Green Arrow is one of the more important characters in Futures End
I'm just going to wait for them to come out in a trade like I did with Villain's Month. Also I'm not really sure why people are calling this a gimmick. The issues don't cost anymore than they regularly would unless you like 3D covers.
@mrtummytumms: I don't blame you for that at all, so much cheaper, but if you're reading the weekly series, there will be a few issues you might want to read soon, but not many
@mrnoital: oh yeah I'm reading the main series as they come out. But the rest I'm just going to wait. I'm glad to see that other people are enjoying future's end though. I was starting to feel like I was the only one.
@mrtummytumms: I'm really enjoying it and really wondering if/what main continuity effects it'll have
@mrnoital: I'm hoping that it does do something. Maybe if the present universe jumps ahead to the fixed timeline or something and that's where DC continues their stories.
@mrtummytumms: I'm thinking at the least, heroes from earth 2 come to main earth, at least something like that by the end of Earth 2: Worlds End, not sure how they plan on dealing with all the other regular humans from earth 2
but skipping the 5 years would be a lot like one year later and could be really cool
I'll buy what's on my pull.
I actually change my mind...I'm not buying any of them. I'll save my money instead of wasting it on a bunch of one shots.
@the_stegman: several are tie-ins to the main futures end series, and some tie in to their own series, some are 2 parters, like aquaman/and the others and JL/JLU, and some like grayson and swamp thing are just good

I don't read Future's End, so the tie ins matter not to me, and even if they are good, I'll save my money...or wait for them to be cheaper later on, on Comixology.
@the_stegman: yeah if you're not reading futures end, then whatever, eventually they should come out in a collected version like villains month, so you can what for whatever you want
