#4 Posted by The Angry Comic Book Critic (650 posts) - - Show Bio

Both were or are great but somewhere along the lines they hopped on the express train to crazy town Alan Moore with Lost Girls a Porn comic about classic Fairy tale characters like Alice and Dorthy and if I'm not mistaken with sleeping beauty and Frank Miller with the legendary line I'M THE GODDAMN BATMAN!!!! who is more crazy you be the judge

#5 Posted by AMS (1387 posts) - - Show Bio

After reading Dodgem Logic I would have to give it to Messr Alan Moore.
#6 Posted by Crom-Cruach (8736 posts) - - Show Bio
@The Angry Comic Book Critic:  Alan Moore is crazier. Miller is just common whore obsessed nihilistic crazy.
#7 Posted by Pizawle (1074 posts) - - Show Bio

Read Neonomicon #2 to the end (if you can) and then try and tell me it isn't Moore.

#8 Posted by FadeToBlackBolt (23334 posts) - - Show Bio

Alan Moore is seriously nuts, very clever, but totally nuts.

Frank Miller is insane in the way that his stories appeal solely to his own Id.

#9 Posted by The Angry Comic Book Critic (650 posts) - - Show Bio
@FadeToBlackBolt:  Save for Frank miller's run of Daredevil and Sin City those were pretty good stories
#10 Edited by mrtrickster (2307 posts) - - Show Bio

i've read Sin City can't say it's good.Aand some of his work is just terrible like All Star Batman and Robin

I am. Theres several people here that wont deny it.
Otherwise i read in an interview back when that Moore claims to be a real life black wizard.
that always stuck with me.

Alan Moore.

#14 Posted by The Devil Tiger (1263 posts) - - Show Bio

Alan moore, no contest.

Maybe a slighty less cur stomb battle would be between him and Warren Ellis.
#15 Posted by Paul Render (53 posts) - - Show Bio

Crazy or brilliant? I say brilliant. You guys are lame.

#16 Posted by The Angry Comic Book Critic (650 posts) - - Show Bio
@FadeToBlackBolt:  How could I forget those? they great but even in his great early works you could see the signs of what was to come like in Daredevil # 174 first page is Elektra in a G-string and bikini in a very Sexy pose. can you say whores?
#17 Posted by Icarusflies (12457 posts) - - Show Bio

I couldn't read it to the end. It made me sick to my stomach.

In my mind, that DEFINITELY proved Moore's insanity.

I think it goes without saying that Alan Moore is crazier.

@mrtrickster:  okay maybe not everything in the Sin City series was perfect but The Hard Goodbye, That Yellow Bastard were really good and the Salesman was an interesting character but yes All Star Batman and Robin was pure shit

They are both overrated.   I said it. :p

Moore is a satanist. I bet you didn't know that.

#24 Posted by rufug (66 posts) - - Show Bio

Alan Moore is the kind of guy who WOULD DEFINITELY NOT BE ABLE TO GET A TABLE FOR ONE AT CHUCK.E CHEESE. He looks way too crazy.

#25 Posted by Antiochus (34 posts) - - Show Bio

Frank Miller is a special case.  His works tend to vary from downright stupid to simply inspired.  On the other hand, I don't recall Alan Moore ever doing anything else but good stuff.

Its hard to deny it though that Moore is crazy, but crazy in an ideal way when it comes to writers...

Yes, he is.

He even puts Aleister Crowley in his comics.

@Cezar_TheScribe: that doesn't make him a satanist, do you even know what a satanist is?

@Cezar_TheScribe:  Actually moore worships a snake god called Glycon who he himself has as acknowledged as complete and utter crap so not really a satanist considering it's a Roman God
#31 Posted by Emperor Gonzo Noir (19714 posts) - - Show Bio

Moore is a loony old hermit who hates the outside world, but he's still a competent writer, Frank just doesn't have his writing ability anymore, he's not "crazy"

Alan Moore is a cocky horrible person who thinks he is gods gift to comic books. He's a bitter old man.

Some of what has happened to him is a legitimate "gripe."

DC did mess him over on royalties, and so on.

well millar did right a comic about al-quaeda wanting to blow up gotham. still gotta go with moore tho

#38 Posted by AMS (1387 posts) - - Show Bio
@glforthewin:

Has it ever been released? I thought it was canned.
#39 Posted by DeathpooltheT1000 (9503 posts) - - Show Bio

Cmon even if Miller one day goes to the street and scream to everybody he fins, I AM BATMANhe is more normal that Moore

#40 Posted by thecowwasdelirious (79 posts) - - Show Bio

alan moore is crazier from the corporate perspective, because he hates movie adaptions and how corporations benefit from his own creation, so imo alan moore is not crazy, in fact making more sense than many others.

#41 Posted by Deadgod (1183 posts) - - Show Bio

Alan Moore is crazier but at least he's always writes faaaaaaar better comics then Miller

#42 Edited by RogueShadow (9941 posts) - - Show Bio

Do people really think Alan Moore's that good of a writer? I don't even think he's that good.

#43 Posted by stambo42 (155 posts) - - Show Bio

Moore is a very smart man with interests in what are generally considered fringe politics and spirituality. That doesn't make you crazy, just specialized in your interests. Miller is a man of at best average intelligence who for some unknown reason hates women and brown people. That usually isn't considered "crazy" in America, but it does make you dangerous.
