If the sith are able to summon force lightning is it possible they are able to summon other weather controls such as force wind or force water blast etc.

A jedi has something similiar to force lightning called Electric Judgment and is pretty much the same as Force Lightning, but it is rare for jedi to use it because of its association with evil.

Jedi tend to shy away from overtly destructive manipulations of the force.

there are no "light" or "dark" force powers.  It all depends on how you use them.

actually their are..

basically the rules are, if they inflict a large amount of pain on someone it is a dark force power...

for example...a sith may use force lightning to get through a bunch of clones or w/e...while a typical jedi might try to use some sort of mind trick, inivisbility, or stealth..

you don't have to use it to inflict pain... for instance, you could use force grip to pick up an object, or crushing an object.

Force lightning is actually lightning summoned using the force by dark siders but think that master yoda is able to use it, because normally to block something you need to know how to use it. Also what about mace windu, he has full dedication to the force, all the other that tried to use vaapad have turned to the dark side, because it concentrate on using your strengths as well as your oppenents weaknesses, so maybe the jedi will be able to use force lightning. able to be

Jacen solo is proof that there is no light or dark side, merely a point of view, some cultures like pain, but some sith can manipulate weather but it's not with force lightning, but there are two abilities called force storm the first is a vastly stronger version of force lightning, the other is creating hyperspace wormhole storms with the force, this one has only been done by palpatine.

However when you think about it, it's all pointless, all the Jedi die at some point and they have no impact on their universe as a whole.

master Plo Koon has force lightning ability and so does luke skywalker  most  force sensitive being's preferably Jedi or sith have a wide scale variety of force techniques they could learn  but some choose to learn the basics while others quickly adept and choose to learn more .  not to mention the fact Jedi are keepers of the peace not warriors wich explains why they don't go beyond  jedi mind trick and any type of force push or pull.the less harm for them is better.

They can't really affect much out of their home Galaxy, which is younger than the milky way by a lot.  *5 billion years for the star wars galaxy vs 10 billion for ours* But it's larger, 120,000 light years in diameter for them, 100,000 for us.  The star content is roughly the same, as both have 500 billion.   So the Star wars galaxy is less dense than the Milky Way.  But the Andromeda galaxy massively trumps both combined.  It has over 10 trillion stars in a relatively small space of 150,000 light years, 20 times the stars in a space only 1.5 times larger than the milky way.   Imagine if there were 15 times more stars in the sky in the night!  You could read a book under the starlight!

seeing as how they would be so close together, if one would go nova, it would cause a chain reaction not unlike the domino effect.

New theories suggest stars don't explode when Novae happen near it, rather they eat the stellar gas and grow larger.

Stars only die from their own novae.  Other novae A. feed the star or B. push it away.

They can do it anywhere, the photo is from one of the most remote planets in the star wars universe and he was still able to use his power.
