Avengers: Age of Ultron is almost here! So make your final box office predictions!

Here's what happening overseas so far via Variety

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” debuted to a massive $201.2 million across 44 territories this weekend.

Disney and Marvel’s super team adventure was the highest-grossing film in everywhere it opened, and has now rolled out in 55% of the international marketplace, including such major locales as France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Korea and Australia.

Going into the weekend, Disney was projecting a foreign debut of between $160 million to $175 million.

“The bar was high, but this is a sign of unbelievable momentum in the marketplace,” said Dave Hollis, Disney’s distribution chief. “It all goes back to the strength of the brand and the incredible work the Marvel team does in telling stories in such a consistent way and creating these worlds.”

The hotly anticipated superhero sequel opens next week in the U.S., where it is expected to earn north of $200 million and could top the first “Avengers” film’s record-breaking $207.4 million bow. Bringing Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and other costumed heroes together isn’t cheap, and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” carries a $250 million pricetag.

Given the hype for this movie and track record for the first Avengers and several other marvel movies, this movie should make a billion+. Oh, and technically it is already out in other countries.. just not NA sadly. :|.

Im going to say roughly the same as the first, there's a lot of factors. The reviews over time have been the getting more negative and the first had the team up for the first time hype. It's going to make a lot regardless.

@noone301994: I think they are gonna have to hit it hard on the domestic opening. Also it will be interesting if they can stay number 1 the following week when Mad Max comes out.

As far as money goes critical reviews have very little impact on the money a film makes. It's all about the marketing campaign, social media, and word of mouth.

@lukehero: Of course, but some people do take it into account and some are bound to fell similarly. Like I said though, I feel it will make about the same amount as the first so it's not like I'm saying it will effect it in any major way.

UPDATE: Looks like I was just about perfect... Age of Ultron grossed 187M domestic opening weekend.

It won't beat the first one.

@kgb725: It will. It's already getting great buzz from people who've seen it. It obviously won't beat AoU's overall gross, but, it would top the box office in its opening weekend. Hopefully.
