Favorite story arc?

Hi guys, I'm new to comics and I'm just wondering what everyone's favorite story arcs are. I'm currently reading "Civil War" and I really like it so far.

Well lets see. Batmans: Hush is one of my all-time favs. Thunderbolts: Faith In Monsters. Ultimate X-men: Ultimate War. Ultimate Spiderman: Ultimate Six. All-Star Superman. Supreme Power. Wolverine: Adamantium Men. Those are the tops. Oh and Suicide Squads: Hunt for Harley Quinn. And the Aquaman's Black Manta/Others story going on now.

1. The Messiah Trilogy spanning 2007 to 2010 was one of the best story arcs (Messiah Complex, Messiah War, Second Coming) if your an Xmen fan. Also the Xmen/Avengers: Utopia was good.

2. Older Xmen titles such as Dark Phoenix Saga and Mutant Massacre are classics

3. Alternate Xmen story arc: Age of Apocalypse (circa 1995) and the recent excellent Dark Angel Saga in Uncanny Xforce

4. Knightfall saga from DC where Bane broke Batman

5. Older Marvel crossovers: Secret War I and II

6. Recent fair story arcs are Secret Invasion, Siege

7. I haven't read it but just ordered the Cosmic storylines I heard great things about: Annihilation, Warof Kings, Realm of Kings, and Thanos Imperative

Green Arrow: Year One

Batwoman: Elegy

Avengers Disassembled (particularly the Thor story)

O'Neals Green Arrow/Green Lantern Crossovers

Batman: Hush

Captain America: Winter Soldier

The Saga of Swamp Thing

Captain America - Winter Soldier 1 & 2

Wow... um... that's too hard to say. I guess I'll say 52.

You should read Planetary. It's like what would happen if you mated Indiana Jones and The X-Files!
