What are some non comic book versions of a character that you think did a good job interpreting the character or maybe did a better job with the character than the comics?
or a character from a movie/tv show/etc. that made you pick up their comic

MCU Captain America, MCU Rocket, a lot of DCAU characters.
@roboshark: I hated that so much
TT animated series' interpretation of Raven was very different, not better but I did grow to love it. Impressive considering I initially hated it.
Arkham Batman - one of the few versions of Batman I like
DCAU Joker - the only version of the Joker I like
@username12345: Nolan batman , arkham batman, dcau batman not to mention the 2 classical batmens Adam west and Micheal keaton

Spectacular Spider-Man; Peter Parker/Spider-Man
For me it's a tie between Spectacular Spider-Man, which was a show that was magnificent in it's portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and CW's Arrow.

This. I'd also like to add the TT animated series, MCU Cap and Tony, JLU Question and Huntress (I loved their relationship) and the Arkham versions of Batman characters.
Definitely disagree when it comes to Arrow, though.
It was the X-Men films that made me get into comics, but I wouldn't say any other medium has proven itself better than its comic form. Netflix's Daredevil could have come close, though.
Wolverine, Magneto old/young, Prof X old, Mystique (both). - movies
MCU Cap, IM and Nick Fury.
TT (the ones with Slade). I grew to love Raven so much I never liked the comic version since I saw the show as a kid and I didnt read comicbooks back then.
JL and some JLU
I was a fan of Deathstroke on Arrow, he was a badass. Other than that I can barely stand him.
And I think everyone can agree on JLU Hawkgirl.
I know Ronan isn't a "good guy" but I feel that Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Hero nailed the "brutal authority figure" part outside of comics. Except for cheating in Beyonder's game episode.
Then again, this had more to do with disappointment with MCU's version as a terrorist (based on Ultimate) and EMH's version being more of generic space officer.
Outside of him, EMH's Peter Quill (MCU and Bendis version is a bit of an outlaw but I kinda like both of them).
