@k4tzm4n: So, There was one for Injustice when the game wasn't out in Europe and other parts of the world
My review for Injustice was spoiler-free and did not discuss key points in the plot. Listing highlights from Iron Man 3 would take away the fun for people who haven't seen it. Completely different scenario.
since no IM3, I guess Tony vs the Chitauri and Nuke scene
Hostage rescue ftw!
not my favorite, but very close!!!
my favorite from IM3 and this is totally spoiler free is Tony's last fight in the movie. I won't describe it or give any details about just that it is super awesome
Hey where the icing problem moment? That wasn't just the best Iron Man scene ever but the best in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? No fair!
Out of these probably threatening Loki with Captain America argument in 2nd followed closely by the Iron Man Thor battle.
"I have an army."
"We have a Hulk."
"I thought the beast had wandered off."
"You're missing the point! There's no throne, there is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it!"
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? I disagree, but to each their own.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie. I just mean there were no scenes where I was like, "THAT WAS AWESOME!" Whereas the hostage scene in IM1 did that, as did the tank scene, and pretty much all of Avengers :)
Tough, VERY tough. I'm going to have to go with the rescue., that to me was the moment when he crossed over from being a genius with a piece of tech, to a badass superhero saving people. The "Yeah. I can fly." (testing) comes in a very close second though. I remember smiling while watching that scene for the first time in theaters. Couldn't help it, the comic book fan in me was oozing out.
Seeing this thread makes me realize just how many great moments this trilogy has had. Tony Stark and Robert Downey Jr. is the best comic book character match ever. And I don't know if he will ever be topped by any other character/ actor. He was so perfect as the character that he arguably single handedly brought Iron Man into A-list status. Downey doesn't even act, he simply plays himself.
I voted for the Iron Man vs Whiplash fight. Aside from the suitcase armor's awesome reference to the Silver Centurion (which made me geek-out), the intense nature of the fight was awesome. From Whiplash first's appearance, which had extra impact for me because I sat so close to the cinema speakers that every time he flicked his whip, my ears exploded. To the point of Tony, Happy, and Pepper desperately holding out against Whiplash before Tony gets the armor on. Even though the actual fight was a little short, I found it really entertaining.
