Who's your favorite comic book writer?

#2 Posted by Fallschirmjager (19627 posts) - - Show Bio

Not sure if I could just pick one. Right now I'd say these guys are all my favorites right now.

  • Jeff Lemire
  • Brian K Vaughn
  • Ed Brubaker
  • Christopher Yost

Some honorable mentions would be Robert Kirkman (most for Invincible because I find TWD overrated somewhat) and a huge list of guys from Valiant. Though its hard for me to nominate them because there's clearly something in the water over there. The whole company is so good its unbelievable.

I can't narrow it down to just one so...

I read mostly Marvel so that is where my favs are coming from...currently

Remender - I'm really loving his run on Captain America, his Uncanny Avengers was a little slow to me at first but is now picking up and is really good, and his Winter Soldier mini seems to be pretty good as well.

Hickman - I'm really liking his Avengers books.

Aaron - His Thor is freaking great

DeConnick - I really like her on Captain Marvel and Avengers Assemble

Brubaker - His run on Captain America was, and still is, simply incredible.

Ed Brubaker pulled me into Captain America, but everything I have read of his other than, has been wonderful (LIKe his X-men)

Geoff Johns for his Green Lantern runs, but almost everything I have read has been amazing

I thought Bendis would be in the top three too, but I ran into a few bad runs... like Moon Knight
