Does Tony Stark have a superior in his field?

Tony Stark is really good at engineering and I was wondering if there was anyone from Marvel or DC who's better than him when it comes to that.

Lex Luthor and like Reed Richards probably. I don't know about a superior, but Batman can be a pretty good engineer when he needs to.

Arguements can be made for Richards, Batman, Doom, Luthor and others. When it comes to actual Iron Man style armour though, none really match him.

He's fully retrofitted his medieval castle into being the most advanced technological building in the world.

Doom has built a time machine in his basement that he uses for vacation. Hang out with the pharaohs, study Einstein, play dice with Plato. No seriously, this is what he uses it for.

Stark has never done anything that comes close to any of this. How many times have you heard that Stark's designs, his armors, his technologies have been stolen and are being used by the bad guys? Now how many times have you heard that happen to Doom?

@mrnoital: Does Kang actually count??? He comes from the year 3000 or soemthing... Tony's tech is advanced but not a thousand years advance so I don't think he counts....
