Does redeeming a digital code devalue a book?

I know the "collectors market" is pretty much a thing of the past, but the OCD part of me still wants books to be in "perfect" condition. Do you think redeeming the digital download code, specifically removing the little sticker containing it in Marvel's recent books, would significantly devalue the book? My initial reaction would be yes, but since the codes themselves have a limited window of around a year before they expire, the code would be completely useless in the future.

Thoughts?

I think so yes, but as you observed, comic collecting isn't what it used to be. I don't do digital comics but I'd think that of you were going to sell them or pass them on they might keep whatever value they might have if you also pass on the digital copy because it "completes" the issue and nothing is missing.
