Does anyone else feel alone with their favorite comics?

I know i do,Even though Im fairly new to all of this I can see that (don't flame me for this) X23 is pretty underground as far as exposure goes, not very popular or liked much (Please Correct me if I'm wrong)

Do you guys ever feel the same way?

Many people, including me, loved X-23 (regardless of its flaws).

I like them both a lot. Hard to chose between the two, for different reasons.

I think starring I MVC3 makes her very above ground. Not only that but she has had her own title, publiclly she may be a who is that character, but all game and comic geeks recognize her even if some recognize her a a two bit Wolverine. I'm rather meh about her myself

Mister Terrific is tragically underrated, under used, and badly staffed. Seriously, you give the man his first solo series and assign Eric Wallace? Seriously? Did DC want the damn book to fail? I demand a second attempt at a Mister Terrific solo with an actually good writer

also X-23 is not an underground character at all, she has a HUGE fan base, it just doesn't include me

Personally I loved X-23's last series, most of the "flaws" people complained about I actually never had a problem with. I'm juts disappointed that she's been sidelined by Marvel and placed randomly in Avengers Academy...I mean, has she even DONE anything in that book since she joined the team?

I don't feel alone with my favorites I just think the company that makes them is declining in creative value.

She scratched Mettle and sparred with Finesse, that's about it.

@Vance Astro: I agree I know there are a lot of Spider-girl fans out there, but Marvel does not see the series creative value

I feel that way when it comes to certain titles, but not all. Like right now I'm in love with Aquaman's book which seems to be pretty popular around the site.

I feel forever alone with one of my favorites ...Frankenstein Agent Of Shade. No one around me talks about it nor acknowledges it :(

#18 Posted by GundamHeavyarms (697 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

I think we all feel that way sometimes. Two of the best books out there are Sonic and Mega Man, but no one takes them seriously because A: They're all ages books, and B: They're Archie. New Crusaders is probably going to be the same way.

Frankenstein agent of wha? What are you talking about dude ?Did they finally find the manuscript of the sequel of Frankenstein in Mary Shelly's grave or something ? By the way whatever happened to Ray Palmer, I was surprised that they didn't bring him into the new 52 in any way shape or form? :)

@Invisible_Witch: The problem is she's almost a Mary Sue! Even her initials Have "M" and "S" in them! It's like the writers WANT people to hate her! If it weren't for her snooty personality she'd be an even better example! They came close to giving her some decent backstory when they had her go into a catatonic state and make it seem like that was actually a part of her mutant power and that could have made for some interesting character development! MARVEL is at their best when they have characters whose powers are both a blessing AND a curse, but M seems to suffer from these "BSOD" moments because she's autistic and... That's IT. In fact, this isn't even her fault as a character! It's just bad writing!... Maybe she SHOULD get her own movie... Or at least her own comic...

There are bunch of obscure characters that I like that no one even seems to know. :(

My favorite series is Age of Apocalypse. No ever talks about that as far as I know.

My favorite is Sandman. Most people either agree with me, or have never read it before.

DC's Batwing clock is ticking...

And when it reaches Midnight, I am going to be so sad.

I always feel alone when I say that Hank Pym is my favorite Avenger. Then I get angry when people say "Ant-Man sucks" or something to that effect. I'm not a Storm fan, but you don't see me saying that she sucks on her billions of useless threads...

@Gambit1024: I only know Hank Pym from his portrayal in EMH, because I just came back to comics last year. Other than Black Panther, he is my favorite Avenger.

He is definitely my favorite character in the show. I hope this comment doesn't frustrate you due to my ignorance of the character lol.

#30 Posted by Gambit1024 (9889 posts) - 10 months, 6 hours ago - Show Bio

@Twentyfive: It's cool, any fan of Hank in any form of media is cool in my book :P

The best standalone episodes, IMO, are the Hank ones anyway: Man in the Anthill, To Steal an Ant-Man (my personal favorite), and Yellowjacket.

But if you want recommended reads, Ant-Man: Season One was fantastic, and Avengers Academy is great! ^_^

I will also be sad, Batwing's been one of the better titles of the DC relaunch. It's upsetting to see that he's got such a lack of a following, and that DC has to constantly put other more popular members of the Bat-family in his book just to make sure it sells better.
