Things are already weird when you read an issue from the '70s and realize that your favourite hero hasn't aged a day.
I believe so far we have accepted that fact because superhero comics are not that old. '60s and '70s weren't that back in time, so seeing Peter Parker in his '30s after all these years doesn't feel that wrong. But what about the future?
Here is an example: Cyclops and Wolverine. Cyclops ages normally, but Wolverine slowly. We accept that fact because Wolverine was born in 1880. So we're like "1880? This guy doesn't age like the rest".
Now fast forward to 2100. Cyclops still ages normally, Logan not. But one was born in 1940 (or something) and the other in 1880. For someone who lives in 2100 that's not much of a difference. Logan's slow ageing just gives him 60 years of a head start. That's it. That's the only difference. For the future reader both Scott and Logan age in the same rate.
Do you think there will a change in the future or the non ageing rule will last forever?
