Do You Read User Reviews?

I need reviews for books quite often and the user reviews are a really helpful system, especially when Comic Vine has no official reviews for the book.

nope....I find that a majority of the time I agree with the staff...especially Inferiorego...if he gives a book a good review then I'll most likely give that a book a shot...it was because of his reviews that I got into Saga and it became one of my favorite books

Yep, by now I know the staffs likes and dislikes so if I check a staff review and a user review it gives me a better understanding of what the comic is actually like

i preffer them to most staff reviews. *cough g-man cough*.

I'll read a review if it's for a comic book I read, but otherwise no.

Yes because most of the time I disagree with the staff's opinion on an issue.

I use to read a bunch before the site redesign. Since then it's a bit of a pain to have to go to each issues page just to see if anybody has done a review.

They are especially helpful when you are dealing with old comics.
And ComicVine has some very good user reviewers!

Only when it is something I am looking for and would like to have a general idea of what to expect. But I tend not to take too much stock into other reviews because I find that most people have different expectations, requirements, or knowledge of a particular character or title which result in different experiences that they would have gotten from the comic.

Yes. This is an absolutely amazing community with a lot of people who have really well formed opinions and can articulate them in the form of a review. It's my favorite part of the site honestly.

Not as often as I should read them. Although in my defense I don't really buy any comic issues and instead rely on trades.

Yes because to be honest, a user review can be more frank about the strengths and weaknesses of an issue and the staff aren't as critical as they can be when reviewing an issue.
