Do you prefer The Cosmic or The Supernatural?

DO you prefer things centered around the Cosmic such as stories with Green Lanterns, Silver Surfer?

Or more Magical/ Supernatural Stories centering around maybe characters like The Justice League Dark or Doctor Strange?

Supernatural, but I enjoy space themed adventures quite a bit as well.

Growing up I was a horror movie kid, not a sci fi kid. So I lean more towards the supernatural stuff.

Over all supernatural, but there are great cosmic stories as well.

@skit: We're reversed. I love Marvels Supernatural characters. Hannibal King, Blade, Werewolf By Night...

And with DC Darkseid, Metron, Lobo, and my boys Guy Gardener and Mr. Miracle are some of my favorites.

@guardiandevil83: I can get that. For me I've just always found DC's cosmic stuff generally limited to 4th world, Adam Strange and Lantern stuff. While Marvel's magic is generally the hell lords, asgardians and strange & co(vishanti and other SSs). Obviously there's other stuff and characters like you mentioned, I'm just talking about in the grand scheme of things for my preference.

Cosmic... the abstracts and other primordial entities are really dope. Dont get it twisted i like supernatural too

I like cosmic beings slightly better as an idea but the way they are portrayed in comics tends to be very bland and lifeless imo so I would say that the supernatural characters tend to be better. Its like look at how long Galactus has been around and even until now his character basically boils down to 'I am hungry, herald go find me a new planet to devour' or 'so and so, you dare challenge the power of Galactus?'. That's Galactus in a nutshell even with 40+ years to explore him as a character. Cosmic beings just tend to come off a bit too much like robots such as we see with the Celestials. Not enough personality and not very interesting in terms of what they bring to stories imo. The only exception has tended to be the Phoenix Force which acts pretty erratically and which usually takes on a human shell which gives it more depth.

Depends on the story.

I used to be a lot more attracted to stories centred around the supernatural, but since expanding outwards in other books, I think I am leaning more towards the cosmic. This will last as long as Doctor Strange and Illyana and Zatanna and the like continue to be under utilised.
