I really like the old comics, but what about the New 52? Are they doing his character justice? Will he ever get a solo series?
Do you like Lucifer Morningstar in the New 52?
He's in same powerset as he was in Pre-52 The Demon series , where Etrigan chained him up & made him run away from Hell & now Post-flashpoint he's back as a Helllord . Vertigo's Lucifer Morningstar , specifically Mike Carey's version was very powerful & different than DCU Lucifer & likely he won't ever come back.
No for all the reasons listed here. It makes absolutely no sense for him to be affected at all by a shift like Flashpoint much less affected by a being as magically weak as Pandora.
As far as I'm concerned he hasn't appeared in the new 52.
@iragexcudder: so great evil beast got affected too?
As far as I'm concerned he hasn't appeared in the new 52.
@lettsplay10: has he shown up in New 52? I don't even remember seeing him in anything within the last 10 years
@iragexcudder: no he did not show up
@lettsplay10: then your guess is good as mine.
@iragexcudder: same for the Primal-Monitor and the Presence

That sucks. I was hoping the Vertigo version of Morningstar would come back now that they're making a TV show. I wonder why they changed him so drastically.
@jasonbriggs: because people with ridiculous power as such have no personality. It's not relatable
Why shouldn't he have been affected by Flashpoint? It's the changing of all events...
It didn't change everything, there are lesser characters such as the Monitors and New Gods who where unaffected.
It's most likely a case of a writer just doing his own thing.
@dextersinister: well, they haven't spoke of a great evil beast since Alan Moore wrote Swamp Thing. So it's been a while in that instance
Plus, the presence is rarely acknowledged unless the life equation is in a book, and that's even rare. I just haven't recollected to much in the new 52. More Source than anything
@iragexcudder: did you just say Lucifer has no personality.
That's crazy. Lucifer hasn't shown up in the New 52.
I could've sworn he has. Isn't this him?

Nope. I think you're confused. Last time Lucifer was seen he was flying off into oblivion. I have no idea who that guy is.
@bee14ish: No no, he's Lucifer and he's in same powerset as he was in Pre-52 The Demon series, where Etrigan chained him up and made him run away from Hell & now Post-flashpoint he's back as a Helllord. Nothing absolutely changed, except than the fact that Lucifer now has the ability of flight, hellfire manipulation and projection powerful enough..to instantly turn two guard demons of Hades's castle into ashes. Soo.. now is even stronger. Personally, to me he looks more of a Lucifer and way more badass than before.
@ultimateaglorian: ahahahahahahahahah..damn right.

No, this is not the same Lucifer, he is not stronger, and certainly isn't more badass. Vertigo's Lucifer would eat this punk alive.
@deadgod: @jasonbriggs: @reno117:
You ppl are confused, Lucifer hasn't shown up in new 52. Lucifer left DC.
And that's not Lucifer.
What pre 52 demon series?
THE LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR is from Neil Gaiman's Sandman and Mike Carey's Lucifer series.
Wow thats alot of concern for satan. God bless this generation
LOL.
Anyways, he's appeared? Issue please.. I'm gonna check this out for myself..
xoxo, -Saint Sophie
Who are you ppl talking about THE Lucifer hasn't appeared in new 52 he left DC. That's not THE Lucifer it's a whole other character. THE Lucifer, the son of God doesn't exist in DC. I think your confusing The Lucifer with a completely different character.
Read Neil Gaimans Sandman season of mist
And most of all Mike Carey's Lucifer series.
Flight, hellfire????? Seriously????? Chained by Etrigon???? Can turn two guards of Hades into ashes??? You consider this remotely powerful????
Anyway
Original Lucifer is the Ruler of THE HELL not Hades, the actual Hell the land given to him by GOD after the war in heaven
Here's some feats of Lucifer,
* creating DC with Michael
* creating his own Multiverse
* destroying countless CREATIONS, UNIVERSES AND REALMS
* He is GOD'S WILL, he cannot be harmed
* created the ENDLESS, do you know who ENDLESS are? Ever read THE SANDMAN? they are DESTINY, DEATH, DREAM, DESTRUCTION, DESIRE,DESPAIR, AND DELIRIUM.
* Destroyed the voice of GOD
* survived a blast that can wipe out CREATION without a scratch awhile being right next to it and manipulated it to create a multiverse
* defeated two giants with GOD'S POWER with his will and intellect
* cannot DIE
* he is WILL, he controls everything
* God asked to become one with him
* left DC and imposed himself/became one with primal monitor
* what he kills he can revive as that's also matter of will
* he turned his gateway into infinite gateways, and made it so that if anyone tried to close it then creation will go boom
* Lucifer without power in mortal form makes gods shit their pants
The Lucifer is Samael, Lucifer Morningstar, an angel

What pre 52 demon series?
THE LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR is from Neil Gaiman's Sandman and Mike Carey's Lucifer series.
This is the Lucifer which was appearing in Pre-52 Etrigan the Demon series that run in 90s. He didn't seemed any more powerful than a Hell lord. He later ran away from Hell when Etrigan took over the Hell. He's the same guy who now appears as Lucifer in New-52 Etrigan series.
The one Lucifer that everyone is talking about is the Vertigo's Mike Carey's Lucifer Morningstar , who is much different character with different personality & different powers.
