Do people actually like Batman?

In comics, as in the characters.

I'm talking about the people that are actually close to Bruce, like the Justice League. Do they actually LIKE him, or do they just tolerate him? He's not exactly a charming person.

I think the people closest to him like Alfred, Dick and Clark really like him. But I'm sure there are a fair share of League members who only tolerate him

They like him. Why wouldn't they? They aren't all exactly the nicest people either.

No they all hate himbut you know living in Gotham wears away at your morale enough so you'de rather hang out with the Rich Guy with the Bat Fetish than the Non Rich Guy with the Clown Fetish :P

Yes. He's a founding member of the Justice League, can make tough choices, keeps everyone else in check, and respects his comrades.

What's not to like about him?

Pre-52 Some like him, some only tolerate him and some can't stand being around him. Don't read New-52 Justice League so wouldn't know.

Hal jordan is a jerk, shazam is a kid, aquaman superman and WW like him, not sure about cyborg, flash loves everyone.

even Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner Like him, they just don't like being pushed around by him, they just don't like how batman is always right.

Basically this, Batman is a hardass sometimes but he is liked by most of the heroes.

Hell, in the Pre-New 52, Hal eventually became friends with Batman, and even in the New 52 Hal has some new found respect for him

The like him and tolerate him, but if and when he's a dick, they're not surprised and sub conscious feelings come out. Like the time hal Lantern punched him.

I guess you could say some people in the Justice League don't like Batman...

There are a few who do not like him, but most do. All of the DC universe respects him. Honestly, you do not need this thread because Supes and Bats were/are best friends. Wonder Woman was in love with him Pre-New52. Hal probably doesn't like him. Barry likes him. Wally likes him.

I think Bruce & Clark have an actual respect & friendship . Other than Clark really I think most other heroes just tolerate him & respect him . Clearly Hal thinks he's a phenomenal douche lol

I'd go with Superman, Nightwing, Alfred, Damian Wayne, Red Hood (Well now anyway), James Gordon, Catwoman. Come on guys apparently only the bat family like him haha.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bat-Mite yet....

He's grouchy and a bit of a know it all, but the lovable kind, like Sherlock Holmes, or Dr. House.

Being a leader, you have to make difficult choices and people won't always agree with you. So they end up not liking you because they felt like they could have done a better job or don't agree with the way things are being done.

For instance, Justice League Doom; Batman had plans to take out every member in case they went rogue. And some of those members were not happy about it.

I wouldn't let Batman lead me to the convenience store to get a pack of Skittles.

He's not a leader, he's a loner and doesn't communicate we'll with his teammates which can cause problems. Can't even keep his side kicks alive.

Well being that Batman is one of the best tacticians in the world..

Batman does not kill people because he doesn’t consider himself above the law but he does break other laws. He even gathers intelligence illegally but it is all meant for greater good and sometimes he ends up creating a threat for himself and the very people he wants to protect. Gotham is still as bad as when he first started.

Bruce Wayne has no real obligation to do anything, if he wanted to waste all of his money creating Flamingos that could fight Godzilla he could. The DC universe should be thankful that Bruce stepped up and helped save Gotham.

Everyone loves Batman even Hal. Hal is just a jerk at times.Flash loves everyone. WonderWoman was in love with Batman once. Superman and Batman are best friends. Cyborg looks up to him. Aquman respects him.

I would get along with him in real life. He's deserving of respect, inlcuding his role as a leader. I think the majority of people in the DCU acknowledge this and hold him in high regard.
