More so than even gonads, facial hair is the primary sexual characteristic which distinguished males of the species from females. Ergo, if a human has facial hair, he's a man, and all the ladies love him (provided he's not fat); if a human doesn't have facial hair, she's a chick, with a brain a third the size of a man's. That's science!

Yes, but only stubble or a nicely trimmed full beard. Sport a beard if you have a eff'ed up jawline and skinny face, and stubble if you're primo.

It really depends on the girl because I've seen some girls who love a nice beard and others who want zero facial hair at all times

It also depends on the guy as well because facial hair looks better on others than it does on some (like me for instance haha)

Never a full on beard but facial hair sure but there was a study that showed girls tend to go for it only when it's distinctive once you have a bunch of clean shaven dudes the rugged one looks more appealing and vice versa. Then you gotta account for whether the thing looks good on you because for a lot of people it doesn't.

Depends on the facial hair. I don't think any girl would like neckbeards. I see women go for more 5 o' clock shadow types. My girlfriend likes my beard so I don't really care.

I'm a gay guy and I think men with facial hair are attractive. I can't speak for the entire female gender though lol. I'm sure it depends.

I think it really comes down to how it looks on the guy, rather than what we would prefer on them, right? I mean, I am usually drawn to clean shaven guys, or at most, ones with a little bit of scruff that's still manicured and clothes to match. I didn't think I could find a full on beard attractive but there's been a few lately that have caught my eye and they're not rocking Armani either. I am learning to never say never when it comes to what I would go for or not. I am sure there are a few men out there that without a beard, wouldn't be as attractive and vice versa.

@hislolita: oh, I definitely agree that it's case dependent. Some men look good with facial hair, some can't pull it off. I think both cleanshaven and bearded men can be attractive. I don't discriminate, though I can imagine others might. Can't speak for everyone.

@timelordscience: Very true. If you don't mind me asking, if your potential partner asked you to grow a beard (or be clean-shaven) would you cater to their preference? And would you ask the same of them?

The question we should be asking is:

Does my beard like girls on me?

I'm not a girl so I voted "Who cares?".

@hislolita: sadly I cannot grow very much facial hair D: and I would never demand he grow a beard for me. I would at most suggest he try it were I to think it would look nice. But it doesn't matter that much. How about you?

Depends on the chick, but in my personal experience, they're quite receptive.
