DIGIMON IS COMING BACK

I'm not even sure if this is the right place to post it, but I'm too excited. Digimon Adventures is coming back in 2015, with the old crew a little bit older. Taichi, for example, is 17 :)

I would be happy if it came back, but this just looks like a fan made video and not the real thing. No clips of them in high school, and I thought the 3rd season of Digimon with the Armor digivolve already gave us some future image of what the old gang was up too.

Meh, more nostalgic reboots that will probably suck. Sorry to rain on the parade, but it's the truth. The original writers are long gone, and we'll slowly realize that we're sacrificing new and potentially awesome franchises to relive our youth.

It's a trend that is starting to piss me off.

I tried to re-watch the original Digimon and I just couldn't do it. LMAO. Maybe I will give it a try after this latest news. I'm going to need a new Yu-Gi-Oh! type anime to watch anyway. I guess this can get added to the list along with C!!VG.

@rd189 Let's be honest, if we look close to Digimon - from character's development to the action itself - it's not "wow, how great". In fact, it's pretty ok, just like most things that were part of our childhood. Take a look at Pokemon, Batman the Animated Series, Dexter Laboratory, Dragon Ball, The Flintstones...people love all of them for what they represent (and for what they did at the time), not exactly because of their quality. That's why reboots are important, to update these classics and introduce them to new fans - who will end up knowing the older versions of the cartoons. I watched What's New Scooby-Doo when I was little and that drove me to the old Scooby-Doo...which was painfully slow and bad, but I understood that it was the base to all the stuff that came after it.

I was watching a few episodes these days and they were 6 out of 10 hahaha. So, yeah, I'm still excited :D

It just seems so Goddamn cheesy to me....and those voices....O_O

I feel the same way when I watch the original Yu-Gi-Oh! dub. Those friendship speeches...good God those speeches...that's why I feel the original Yu-Gi-Oh! had the worst cast out each and every series.

I'm curious if this will somehow act as a sequel to Digimon Adventures 2, seeing as that was really a sequel to the original Digimon Adventures. I'd love to see the original gang back, but if it's not a sequel to DA2 then I'm going to be a bit worried as for what this will mean to the younger DigiDestined like Davis, T.K. and Kari. I actually wouldn't mind seeing the older DigiDestined dealing with the world post-DA2, as we saw in the future that humans and Digimon were living together in harmony.Seeing how the world eventually reaches that point in the future would make for an interesting series.
