Did you read Damian son of Batman

Did you read Damian son of Batman? If so what did you think?

I thought that the art was spectacular and I like the story.

I just picked it up today. I am just starting to get into Batman. There is 1 particular panel after Damian whoops some major buttox where he's all bloody and his uniform is ripped that I think is just wonderful.

It's a 4 part series. I can't wait for the next 3. If you read this, are picking up the rest when they come out?

Edit: Just curious: How new are you to Batman comics?

It was alright, Damian seemed a tad out of character though.

Very new. Ive only read individual issue here and there except for Blackest Night: Batman 1,2 and 3 and Justice League. I just started reading Batman (new 52) recently. Im up to issue 4 right now. Really want to sink my teeth into the world of Batman though. The more I read the more I want to.

Any suggestions on killer Batman arcs would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still pretty new compared to most on this site.

Let's see... Batman: Year One is a must-read for a new fan. Also, Killing Joke is a classic. It's not cannon, but still a great story. The next one that comes to mind is Batman: Hush. The story is fantastic, and Jim Lee's art is amazing.

Those ought to get you started. I would also recommend Grant Morrison's entire Batman run - Where Damian was first introduced. You might want to hold off on that, though. At least till you're more familiar with the character, as it can be very confusing to a new reader.

@m3th: Yes, he's older, but he just...I dunno, he just sounds differently. Then again, it's an Elseworlds tale of sorts, so I ain't gonna hold it against the title.
